Like some others I have debated whether Johnson even makes the 23 this week but if Howe misses he comes into the 22 to maintain our level of marking presence across the ground.

Macrae takes his place as the 23rd man.

Johnson drops more than he marks though.

Yes GWS are a good side. Frampton is perfectly adequate depth and Dean needs to debut sooner or later. If Howe doesn’t get up then maybe sooner is the call.

Could Dean be that option, get's himself into much better Marking positions and is a much better mark than Frampton

Looks like GWS are expected to play Cadman instead of Keefe - that would mean that someone like Riccardi is going to play ruck for a % of the game. It's going to be pretty warm on Saturday, so I'm not expecting Briggs to play much more than 70% game time. Assuming that GWS goes with running players on the bench, then I'd play Bruz as the third tall (on Cadman whilst Riccardi is playing forward).
