AFLW Port Adelaide vs Geelong - Round 4 @ Alberton

It’s the basics - sticking tackles, keeping your feet, playing in front, not dropping easy marks.
We have a midfield full of slow bulls. When the ball gets outside we're gone. Add to that most of our outside players are nowhere near the level of their opponents.

We look slow, we lose contests all over the ground if it isn't our core 6/7 good players involved then we just look like we're running around chasing. So many dead weight players all over the park. Our defence is really bad. Don't have one player up to the level down there and we've moved our best in Tahau out. Even the half decent ones are only Cuthbertson and Ballard and they're being embarrassed today. Particularly Cuthbertson.

Our forward line has no quality smalls, and whilst we have some good tall talent, they can't do it all.

The midfield play just involves them linking up and spreading and running patterns that out guys just cant defend nor, do ourselves.

We look unlikely to score here. Their defenders have got our weapons well covered.

Love to hear the pontificating about the crackdown on dangerous head injury tackles while ignoring the head high bump on the Port player earlier.

The women's game is also blighted by the bullshit umpiring that lets players be tackled forever without giving away a free kick, but penalises the tackler for being too vigorous. It's also contributing to knee injuries as players have to hold and twist and turn.
