What part of every post have you not been reading? Hawthorn have used him to play on KPFs quite often due to lack of alternatives, but that has never made him a KPD. He's a third tall who was better at playing above his height than anyone else Hawthorn had, that's all. As soon as they had two actual KPDs to use, he was always straight into his actual position.

Bingo!!

They play 2 kpds plus a third tall... kinda like us this week, no? Glad you finally get it ;)

So then you're in the camp that agrees we wasted a first round draft pick on a third tall, instead of on desperately needed midfield talent, when we already had the position well covered by existing players and a smart, good value trade?

Lever is either a third tall or a KPD, people can't pick and choose based on the argument they want to refute.

I would say he's in the third tall mould same as Harry Taylor and Gibson, if he matches their output we've wasted nothing.

And Lever can be either, just because it doesn't suit your argument doesn't mean it's not so.

Why would you play a skinny kid against monsters? Whether he develops the size and strength to be a KPD remains to be seen, but as it stands today. He's not.

Your comment deflects from your original point. This week, we have selected a side that exactly reflects your description of the Hawthorn defensive structure. So why are you so salty, if not for your bias against Hartigan?

He's salty because he carried on like a pork chop last week and has been proven wrong... again.

Keep getting stuff wrong and you get salty.

North were not up and about. They played poorly most of the game, put in about one quarters worth of proper effort from their midfield after half time, and then got carried to the line by Goldstein.
Ah this is like last year when you told us we only beat Richmond because they weren't trying!

Mr Rabbit is salty a lot :D

Anyone know how many times we've played Talia, Hartigan, Lever and Cheney in the same team?

I've got a feeling this is the first time.
Yep first time, lever and Cheney have only played together 4 times, during that time Hartigan was out.

Spot on.

One thing I will say in my own defence - I was clear that who went out was always more important than who came in.

I have to say I do have some lingering concerns at how we structure up when Westhoff goes on tour as he always does and we are left looking a bit top heavy.

With that said, I like most, am just happy that Pyke has held his nerve and did not take the easy option in axing either of the 2 first gamers. VB has been a stoic servant of the club but really, I hope that's it now.

Good signs
Lever can follow westoff if he plays further up the ground. Would be a good experience.

Seedsman can drop back into defence like he did briefly last week if port go smaller... Having said that, I reckon lever goes ok on smaller players too.

Far less concerned about this than Cheney having to cover a tall.
