Gonna be some sore boys this week.Sometimes losing is the only reality check. Lucky escapes can wall paper over the issue. The response by a lot of players next week will be telling.
Makes the Collingwood game a lil tougher.

True. There's nothing in that performance that suggests they'll even get a second set to form the "straight sets".
The good> Dawson, Burgess, Taylor, WCE Pressure
at least Burgess tried. He maybe shit but he was one of the few players who actually showed like they care and had heart.

Burgess good?!?
You really do lean into your nickname.
symptom of soft footy, that’s newsoreness is usually a symptom of playing soft footy. WCE deserve credit, our players were caught off guard and regardless ofthe match PR where they said they knew WCE were going to bring it, they clearly didnt and it showed.
I reckon an underdone Tyler Welsh holding a piece of pizza would have been better. What was the actual ****ing point of playing Burgess? Surely T Murray couldn't have been any worse?
Inability to score off turnover is WCE pressure in the middle. Blocking our lanes. Our scores off turnover were way down today. We seemed to drop some marks early so maybe missed some opportunities. It wasn't until Q4 that Keane and Worrell plucked a few intercepts.
Why was it down today?
Didn't seem like our pressure around the ball was all that good. Didn't force the indiscriminate hack kicks forward

Other premiership favourites also struggled this weekend.Faaaaark…… we ain’t winning it this year. Been saying it all year. Will gladly be proven wrong but just can’t see it.
Our midfield is just too thin, unless Rankine is in there. And we need him forward. Really missing Rachelle.
Taylor was very good, Pedlar also. Best games for both of them for the year.
If any opposition coach wants to see a blueprint for how to beat us, there it was.
Flood our forward line, don’t let our talls get a look at it without being double and triple teamed, it’s what they did all game. Along with manic pressure in the midfield.
Geez we looked flat from the first bounce. I hope that was our worst game for the possible 6 remaining.
Oh, and Jones and Burgess DELIST as soon as possible please. Neither are AFL standard.
Taylor was great at half forward.Thought West Coast were good and we probably took them a bit lightly - certainly this board did. Mentioned this in the game day thread but it reminded me a bit of some of the decent performances we put in during the 21-22 period against good sides. Fantastic effort and pressure, a bit of young talent and a lot of triers, but it did feel like they didn’t know how to win in the end. Gibney was something else, great game.
Taylor’s best AFL game, Rankine’s second half was a 10/10, and glad Thilthorpe could get back on the ground because we needed him. A few others like Cumming, Pedlar and Laird were solid as well, Keane and Worrell stood up in the end.
Lots of passengers - I don’t think Jones gets another week, Curtin was quiet after a great run of games, and our half forward crew didn’t do much aside from Pedlar.
Nice to get the 4 points in the end. Hopefully we bounce back next week.
