Coach Richmond under Adem Yze

It's far, far too early to judge him. First year coach, round 9, tons of injuries, we all knew there was a good chance we would finish low on the ladder but with players getting injured every match it's gonna be bottom two for sure. At the moment what we need is draft picks, better assistant coaches and a better physical performance manager, and whoever is our new CEO I hope has the right ideas to give Yze as much support as he needs.

And for what it's worth, he's still doing better than Hardwick's first year at Richmond (so far).

We're going horribly and really it's no surprise.

But what is surprising is that we have 5 consecutive Channel 7 games coming up. Who thought at the start of the year we would be good value in primetime?

Four Saturday nights in a row and a Thursday evening in Adelaide. Realistically all we deserved was the Dreamtime match.

It's a long rebuild ahead but hey with 3 premierships in the bank nothing really matters for the next few years.

I love seeing a big 4 fan realise that the AFL isn't merit based lol

Let's face it, Richmond's reckless list strategy has backfired big tme. Add to that the enormous injury list they are dealing with, and we are just not gonna see much from them this year. Yze is on a hiding to nothing at the moment.
It's the same thing that happened to Hawthorn and the same thing I fear Carlton will do, albeit without 3 flags. Going for broke on mature players, abandon the draft and sell your future. It's the dumbest list management strategy. The worst thing a club can do is overestimate where they are at.

Totally disagree.

Hopper and Taranto fill a list age gap for us. When they are on the park, they are usually in our best.

There's every chance we can be contending again when they are towards the end of their contracts.

Hard to tell given they are an aging list decimated by injury this season.

Surely it's the Richmond medico/Doctor that needs to be seriously questioned not Yze.

No coach in the league could get much out of The Tigers right now, it was always going to be a painful/transitional year for the Tigers, but their amount of injuries to many of their best players has taken a heavy toll.

Up until last night, they had been very competitive in most games.

Yze is the least of The Tigers problems.

Incredible delusion.

There was no age gap on your list that they filled. Short, Baker, Bolton, Rioli and Graham are all around that age.

The club massively overrated their list, overpaid for a couple of good but not great mids and now have a gaping chasm where your young talent should be. The injury list is overstating how bad things are now but it's a glimpse into the future.

With the players that will move on in the next few years and the lack of talent coming through it'll take a miracle to sneak into finals again before Taranto and Hopper are finished. Contending is laughable.
