Crows deserved the win. A few too many deficiencies in our play.
We could be a year or two off.

It really feels like that to me also. This team is incomplete and to win this season was going to require lots of things going right. Best case scenario this season feels like scrapping into finals and maybe pinching one.

Highlights what I've been saying for most of the year. We've been highly competitive in several close games against strong sides, but just not quite good enough to get over the line.

We're close, we're on our way, there's a flag in our not-too-distant future, but we're not quite there just yet.

Yep. The next step needs to be staying composed in those key moments - something to work on over summer.

Newc fought through the pain and stood up in the last quarter. He was the reason Mass had that shot on goal, and had he kicked it anything could have happened.

Barrass and Hardwick got their pants pulled down and Scrimshaw was running around like a headless chook. If it wasn't for our captain we would have lost that by 10 goals.

Moore just couldn't get going and Day ran out of legs.

Do we have enough time to sort out the tall forward mix? At the risk of getting shouted down again, yet another poor game by Chol against a top 8 team.
