No Hudson means that he's no chance to play this year, unless there is an injury to one of our ruckmen. For the life of me I can’t understand why Biglands retains his spot, his last month has been unacceptable.

I’m also a little bit annoyed Bassett is playing, I mean he’s probably recovered well and it right to go but there is no reason to play him. This match is pointless, give him the week off and get him 100% for the QF.

Not surprising... they did intimate he would be given another week so he's right for the finals... think it's important not to rush ANYONE back in at this late stage.

Not surprised (although a little disappointed) that Huddo didnt get a recall.

As for this match being pointless, I think not. IF we win and IF WC lose to Richmond at the G (always on the cards one would think) then we finish first which means we get the extra days rest. Apart from all that, winning form is good form and we desperately need a win this week.

Adelaide has recalled some experience for Saturday’s clash with Melbourne at AAMI Stadium.

Jason Torney, Kris Massie and Scott Stevens have returned to the 22, along with first-year player Jason Porplyzia.

They replaced injured quartet Trent Hentschel, Ben Hart, Andrew McLeod and Chris Knights.

The club chose not to risk Ken McGregor, who has missed the past two games because of a hamstring strain.

The three emergencies are Ben Hudson, John Hinge and John Meesen.

More details will appear on the website later.

Hudson has been named to lead North's ruck unit for Saturday nights Blockbuster at the Ponderosa. We have named an extended bench but the only two Ins are young guns and future superstars Shane Edwards and Tim Martin. So we havent named an extra ruckman to cover the big fella.

Not exactly the strongest side we've ever fielded... but for some reason I'm confident we'll play some decent footy this week.

Not happy that Huddo isn't playing, but it's understandable. If it hadn't been for all these injuries he probably would have gotten a game, strangely enough. That was the vibe I was picking up from Craigy earlier in the season anyway...
Biglands has been **** poor lately, but I do understand that our lineup is unsettled enough as it is, as much as I'd prefer to see Huddo playing than Biglands...
I still say he'd add more than Rhett is right now though, no matter how underdone. Every single time Clarkey comes outta the ruck things go downhill.

Good to see Dougie keep his spot. Looking forward to what he can do this week!

How does Hinge get an emergency spot? He isnt as good as i thought he would be. The first time i saw him in that North/Norwood vs Crows clash he looked very promising and hard at it, its a pity he hasnt developed as expected.

Since the most in doubt players are Welsh, Goodwin and Massie does anyone else see the danger in naming 2 ruckmen and an untried small backmen as emergencies ... Surely there is someone else?

Come to think of it why has Meese overtaken Maric in the qeue?

hmmmm - 2 ruckmen as emergencies

one will definately play......

who would think I was mental if I said that both might play ???

;)

with all the other sore spots to other players - they wouldn't waste 2 emergencies on ruckmen unless something was up
