He was only for a quarter but I see value in keeping Clark for another year or two. Certainly over most of the other delist candidates.

Made a couple of errors but seems to genuinely give a s**t. Seen that in him in a couple games earlier in the year too. Most importantly I saw him block for TK a couple of times at stoppages and even for Darling to make a lead on a forward 50 entry near the end. Selflessness and “giving a s**t” are two traits that the next Gen need to learn and we don’t have many that show it.
Only if we change the coach to one that will actually play him in his proper position

He doesn't have asthma, he had the flu.

Did you bother reading anything before having an emotional meltdown?
Then that highlights what little you know about respiratory disease processes.

Asthma is a symptom of many respiratory pathologies either chronic or acute.

It doesn't matter if he had the flu, the medication of choice for respiratory distress is not Ventolin. It's one of the steroid medications such as pulmicort Symbicort etc.

If he was in such respiratory distress the doctor shouldn't have cleared him to play. Any player that doesn't require Ventolin data to day, to then requiring it 6x in a 24ht period is not fit to play.

Im torn as they've been exposed enough now to know they arnt AFL standard but you kind of need these plebs as depth.

No you don’t… they are for the most part rubbish, move them on and see if you can find something else

Actually, I do.

I have allergies to cut grass/dustmites. It developed after the dust storm in Sydney around 4 years ago. Zero respiratory issues prior to that.

I've taken Symbicort as a preventer.

I take Ventolin as a reliever.

Both prescribed by my GP, allergy and respiratory specialists.

So yeah, I actually am quite familiar with this. I've been dealing with it for 4 years and no, I'm not asthmatic.

I think so too but its just a clear flaw etc is all

Did anyone besides me notice at 3 Qtr time that Simmo refused to talk to the playing group. Sat away from them and then said 5 words to Oscar Allen at most and walked off

To say he has lost the playing group is the understatement of the century. The guy is afraid to talk to them
Was watching blues demons by that stage.

Sounds like we need to get The wily weagle in with his extensive medical expertise to settle this one, if he can find time between poo transplants.
I should probably clarify that none of my issues are acute and that I pretty much only use ventolin when I have a cold/flu.

I've also done testing to show that if I'm ill an have issues, I can take it as a preventative to increase my oxygen intake.

Hough may indeed be susceptible to respiratory illnesses but there's nothing to suggest any of it is 'acute' and it sounds like it's a very new thing for him, if he was unaware of the protocols around it.

Now call me stupid, but would the docs and any one else in the club, not ask Hough when he walked through the door before the game in his civvies how he was feeling and what have you taken to help ease your symptoms. Surely the coach would have spoken with one of his young players with the ( Family, Friends and flags ) mantra in mind to see how he was going , rather than waiting just before bouncedown, this is a level of incompetence this club has stooped to now, and it is a complete s**t show which ever you want to and spin it, be that on field or off field.

1. You can buy ventolin over the counter, you don't need a script
2. Sounds like Hough's either never taken it before, or it's a rare thing
3. He was clearly unaware that it could cause an issue on gameday, so probably didn't think to mention it until the doc asked

POSITIVES

One game closer to Harley Reid and listening to Simmo in the press conference about how we desperately need more help in the engine room.

NEGATIVES

Almost everything else.

Not questioning his use off it, or how he got it, not sure where you got that from in my post, but since you want to defend all the incompetence i will ask again.

1. When he arrived at the game i'm assuming hrs before bounce down, surely the docs and the coach ( because he cares for his players right), approached him and asked him how he was felling.
2. When he said fine, the next question given we are supposedly a professional club would have been , what have you taken to ease the symptoms ?

Now waiting to 2 mins before bouncedown to find this out is a level of incompetence that beggars belief from a so called professional sports club, if you cannot see that from this situation, i'd say the club could dump a giant turd on your doorstep and you would applaud them for it.

Positives
- I watched the Matildas beat France then turned off the TV, so I didn't see a second of the game.
I'm sure I'm in the minority atm, however, I'd much rather watch us play (or really any AFL team tbh) than watch a soccer game.
I find soccer aesthetically unpleasant and nigh on unwatchable.

Not really.

Maybe they already advised him on what to take and ventolin was outside of their expectations.

It's not like it's something regularly prescribed for a case of the flu.

Maybe he picked it up the day before the game, as he was feeling wheezy, under the advice of a separate doctor?

I get the club's in a bad way right now but that doesn't mean shitting all over everyone at the club over a made up scenario, which may or may not be true.

So you are saying our medico's would not need to ask a player who has been ill all week what he has taken no more than 2 minutes before the game?, if not then we are well and truly ****ed.

I'm saying that maybe it was a complete oversight on Hough's part and not the medicos.

It's entirely possible you're laying the blame at the feet of the wrong person here.
