With wet weather predicted I'd bring in Darcy (we need him to play), drop Tab (he's generally terrible in the wet)
Fyfe out, bring in Nyhuis, let Hughes do a run with role in the mid.
Out Brayshaw he needs a break.
In Switta (if not available Debt North)

So this week it's ok to float Brayshaw?

Kid needs a run in the magoos to fix up his disposal.

I see where you are coming from, but the challenge maketh the man. I thought Brayshaw actually stood up in the last quarter, and maybe is still working through confidence issues. If he flops this week, a spell at Peel might be the perfect action.

Fyfe should have a mandatory week in "Nob Hill" at the stadium ( I refuse to use sponsors names ), up regaling Belly and Co with tales of the footy field. Concussion is a very serious business, should be little discussion on Fyfes availability.

Darcy in ?.

For all Brayshaw's issues (and he hasn't been great) he is still getting involved, he's putting himself in the right spots and, inconsistently, doing good things. That's not all bad for a second year player so unless his confidence is taking a real hit I'd keep him in at this point. We're short on replacements where we can expect accurate disposals anyway so go with the experience being good for him in the long run, at least for now. 10 games with more bad than good then you seriously think about dropping him for a spell.

Just the Fyfe for Darcy at this stage for mine. We'll be too tall, but it might work if it forces McGovern to take a tall and be accountable.

Crucial Banfield, Tucker, Mundy, Langdon, Conca etc stop the Eagles spread or at least create some dirty ball coming in. If we get opened up across half back like we did in the Saints and Suns games we're f*cked. Eagles won't be as forgiving.

Banfield and Tucker almost the two most important men on the ground this week.

Brayshaw is not coming out. He was played as a half-forward against the Saints hence the low disposals but you can't question his endeavor and he did stand up in that last quarter against the Saints. With most likely missing Fyfe there's no way we drop another inside midfielder.

This will be a good test for Brayshaw's mental fortitude, Gaff will be cheered by the filth supporters whenever he gets the ball and Brayshaw will probably be boo'd.
Would be a great show of class if the toast supporters gave Brayshaw a standing ovation when he takes the field.

Of course that'll never happen with those scum.

Nope! Wait for the booing! How dare he cost Gaffy a flag.

30 degree balmy (humid) night. If we go tall we are in trouble.... unfortunately with our midfield we are in bigger trouble. So tall it is.

14 back behind ball. Hogan and McCarthy wings, with Lobb and Tabs in the 50m. Matera and Son Son running from D50 . Slingshot footy... worked at Geelong last year... wait up
Fyfe out
North In (like for like)

Nyhuis for Fyfe, Banfield to the guts and Nyhuis to play a forward pressure type role.

Assuming Swita is injured.

Need the defence to really stand up or it could get ugly.

Surely its a bit distasteful to cheer him while he's playing against the player that he punched?
Got to support all of what he has overcome.

I'd bet there will be audible booing from the scum.

Gaff will be cheered, but you’re surely kidding yourself if you think Gaff getting cheered is somehow unique to West Coast. Sport fans will always cheer ‘their’ guy, almost regardless of what they’ve done.

It doesn’t mean people condone what he did, but I wouldn’t be holding my breath waiting for 55k+ thousand people to sit in uncomfortable silence or actively boo their own player. He broke a kids jaw, he’s in no way the victim, but he’s also an athlete in front of thousands of people who want his team to win, so he’ll get cheered.

Swans fans continued to cheer Barry Hall, as you’d surely expect them to. Hell, Michael Vick reclaimed his mantle as one of the NFL’s most popular players even after he was jailed for running a dog fighting ring, one of the most unjustifiably reprehensible things you could even come up with.

Sport fans are weird. Every fan base in the world cheers their guy, because they happen to be playing for the ‘right’ team at that specific moment in time. I’m not saying it’s right, but it’s universal. Gaff will be cheered.

Would be very, very disappointed if Brayshaw gets booed though, that’s unjustifiable.
