A lot of teams are in no man’s land because the talent pool is spread too thin and half of it is being ruined by being sent in mass to a few clubs. AFL really needs a genuine reserves/2nd division competition to help develop more quality players.
 
Like all clubs, they’ve got to spend their salary cap each year.
But who do they spend it on?
Nearly impossible to believe they’ll be able to attract any genuine AFL quality players wanting to play in this system.
They’ll have a top 10 draft pick that’ll get pushed back to try and find a single talented 18yo kid.
Very tough sell to an already disillusioned supporter base …

Saints rapidly starting to smell like North. Both clubs have zero attractiveness. No player of note will up stumps and move to either club.
