Event The Season 28 All-SFA Team

The best players in the sim by DT points, the Followers were decided upon very early, and with good reason. Outstanding seasons by these three players.

Test Tickle
– The leading ruck for S28, Bear bigman Test Tickle had the highest posting average of any of the nominated rucks, which was enough to swing him into the first ruck spot. It was a very tight tussle between 3 players for the two available ruck positions, but Testy’s 206 hitouts and 326 disposals were backed up by the best posting numbers of the three, to secure a debut All-SFA guernsey.

philreich – The consistent Swamprat midfielder claims his third gig in the All-SFA team after previously making the cut in S24 and S26, proving that there is a place for dad jokes on the qooty field. phil amassed 326 disposals in S28, laid 97 tackles and averaged near enough to 82 DT, and continued his consistent posting performance with over 65/week to secure the coveted All-SFA ruck-rover position for the first time. He must be one of the favourites for the Mobbs later this week.

Loonerty – Hawks ruck-rover Loonerty rounds out the followers for S28. Loons amassed the most DT points of any nominee, laid 80 tackles and kicked 25 goals in a well-rounded season, and his work in match threads and around the boards, particularly as podcast host, was highly regarded, and he claims his third gong, after previously featuring in the S23 & S25 teams.

Bloodied52 – The second rookie named in this season’s team is Bloodied52, from the West Coast Wonders, who endured the entire season playing a decoy role in the forward pocket, kicking 27 goals in a solid debut. B52’s posting in match threads, and around the boards, was the strongest of any nominated forward, and his Shakespearian style befuddled many. It is now incumbent upon Bloodied 52 to have a big pre-season and take the step up into the midfield, but still, congratulations on an All-SFA position at his first attempt.
Hrmmmmm... interesting.

Congrats Bloodied52! Don't underestimate how big a deal this is... I've been a consistent poster & fantasy points scorer for a few seasons & only just got in this year. Someone must like you (or not feel threatened by you... whatever).

Great work mate.

No, Headless. This is not a specialist position, it is a position that requires versatility, patience and being the last player picked.

comewhatmay
– The rotating ruck, and first interchange is another first-timer, Warrior ruck comewhatmay. She had very strong credentials for the starting role, with the most hitouts, but her performance around the ground was rated slightly lower, and her posting numbers were lesser. Still, capping a career-best season with her first All-SFA gong should be very satisfying, even considering who she has to share the bench with…

pantskyle – The Warriors claim a fourth player in the S28 team, with veteran pantskyle sneaking into the final bench spot. In doing so, pants has secured an eighth berth in the team, ranking him second behind only his brother, and vaulting him ahead of luminaries Ljp86 and boncer34. And it is a deserved honour, with pants notching 300 disposals for the season at a good clip, and posting strongly in all facets of the board. Having been named as an inductee to the HoF earlier, pantskyle can now truly call himself a legend of the game.

Emergencies:

For the first time, the unlucky omissions are named as Emergencies for the S28 All-SFA team. These four players were desperately unlucky to miss out – U2tigers is unfortunate to be the third ruck, when it was determined by quotas that only 2 would make the cut, and comewhatmay and Test Tickle were slightly better over the season. JoshWoodenSpoon was also squeezed out, by his own measures, when his performance didn’t match his outstanding posting contribution. Hate and spookism deserved more discussion about their qualifications but the midfield positions were set very early on. All 4 had very strong seasons, and deserve to be acknowledged as the best of the rest.

Ant Bear – Started the season at full-forward, before the love of the sim forced a move into the midfield. Although down on match thread posting numbers from previous seasons, the Committee recognised the effort in different area and the commitment to the league, for my 8th guernsey.
I must have read a different thread on the committee board.

As mentioned in the write-ups, the captain of the All-SFA team is Barrybran, for all the work he did around the board, in Committee and in helping others selflessly, clearly cancelling out his bloody annoying teamsheets. He has also provided all the graphics for the All-SFA team above, and for tonight's Grand Final thread. Thanks, Baz.

His deputy is Warriors captain TheInjuryFactory for similar contributions. Look out for his oputstanding work on the Mobbenfuhrer Mefdal on Friday.

fu** all you captains getting token spots.

After all the constructive discussion over the last couple of seasons we really went back to putting midfielders on the flanks again.

I think that's the point he's making ;)

I know A93.

Numerous BOG's this season- dominate EJW and everyone else and doesnt get a call up.

Leading the stats.

I even told Ant Bear i had incriminating photos of his amarilloes and still Nothing.

Wow, Emergency.

That's going on my HoF application for next season now that we've got pantskyle and his tears out of the way.
