The best players in the sim by DT points, the Followers were decided upon very early, and with good reason. Outstanding seasons by these three players.
Test Tickle – The leading ruck for S28, Bear bigman Test Tickle had the highest posting average of any of the nominated rucks, which was enough to swing him into the first ruck spot. It was a very tight tussle between 3 players for the two available ruck positions, but Testy’s 206 hitouts and 326 disposals were backed up by the best posting numbers of the three, to secure a debut All-SFA guernsey.
philreich – The consistent Swamprat midfielder claims his third gig in the All-SFA team after previously making the cut in S24 and S26, proving that there is a place for dad jokes on the qooty field. phil amassed 326 disposals in S28, laid 97 tackles and averaged near enough to 82 DT, and continued his consistent posting performance with over 65/week to secure the coveted All-SFA ruck-rover position for the first time. He must be one of the favourites for the Mobbs later this week.
Loonerty – Hawks ruck-rover Loonerty rounds out the followers for S28. Loons amassed the most DT points of any nominee, laid 80 tackles and kicked 25 goals in a well-rounded season, and his work in match threads and around the boards, particularly as podcast host, was highly regarded, and he claims his third gong, after previously featuring in the S23 & S25 teams.
