He passed the concussion tests at the time.Smith out of the third test. Interesting to see who is going to stand up. Also curious as to why the doctor let him come back on to continue batting. Duty of care ? Doesn't seem very professional.
That is what they said yes I know. However he didn't look like quite right and the medical staff would be well aware of a delayed concussion. Didn't like it, just my opinion. He passed the concussion tests at the time.
Opportunity for Marsh to come in after Paine , Labuschagne # 1 spinner.Great, first Nathan Lyon gets sacked now this.
It's a tough one. There was an article about this issue on abc.net today. Approximately 80% of head knocks in cricket do not result in concussion. So you can't pull out a batsman every time they get hit in the lid. So what should the process be?That is what they said yes I know. Moral authority, no. But his experiences give him a unique insight and probably therefore carry more weight? Also it's hard to think of a coach with less moral authority to tell a player not to go back out after a headknock than Justin Langer.

Don't think Langer would have a say tbhAlso it's hard to think of a coach with less moral authority to tell a player not to go back out after a headknock than Justin Langer.
After what happened to Hughes they would never send a player back out who wasn't right. So a delayed concussion, no effects at the time ? Yeah, Na, Doc would have known he wasn't right. One day the decision won't be left to the batsmen, hope it doesn't take a tragedy for that to happen.Thankfully it turned out ok.
If we play Warner and Bancroft again, which media reports suggest we are going to, then we will lose. Both of them clearly just can't cut the mustard against this quality of bowling in these conditions. Warner may have decent test average but he scores the vast majority of his runs in Australia. Much less impressive away from home and he averages less than 30 in England. Harris should definately come in for one of them.
Lab to 3 and Smith back at 4?Khawaja needs to go.
Might be able to avoid being 3 for nothing with Smith having to do all the work.Lab to 3 and Smith back at 4?
