perhaps you might reconsider supporting Jimmys boy at 6.

The policy of playing 5 specialist bowlers is ludicrous.
He showed a lot last year at 6. He deserved first crack.

at least we have the "luxury" of playing NSW next game and they haven't won in forever.

Do you honestly reckon he’s a 6 though? In a side lacking batting he’s 1-2 too high for me
No but I also think we lack the bowling to not play him at 6/7. It's a tough balance.

I’ve been out of the system for a bit - but now back in to an extent and what I’m finding in my time away is that everything has turned to s**t. I remember asking around the traps a couple of years ago as to who the next big thing was from a batting point of view and all I got was “JFM”…who’s now obviously over the border. Batting appears to be breaking down at every level and then I go to a “Blast” coaching thing the other day and the advice is “don’t try to teach technique just let them hit the ball” - I felt like saying “oh ok and are you going to come down and sort their bottom handed grips in 5 years”.

System is broken.

You did predict all out 165,perhaps a re think.Short is a very good batsman and perhaps could even play more for Australia one day.As for Rogers deserves a go as a opener in the shield team.
Goes to show that WA are ridiculously strong. Today's game is the clear 2nd and 3rd.

We have not been going well i thought 165 would be good. lol Rogers getting a start again 42.....1 for 127 off 20 overs

Obviously we were humbled by WA, but we were without Boland, Murphy, Puc, Harris and Short (obviously WA had just as many outs, but they have the ridiculous depth to cover). We have a very strong one day side when fully fit

Is Pucovski even a lock for the first choice Vic 50 over side?

His record in the format is pretty poor, one ton (for Aus A in England iirc) but not much outside of that. Although obviously missing as much cricket as he has doesn't help his case there

He has so much talent, I think when he's fit he would be but I understand them managing him as annoying as it is for supporters

Our basement level Shield game v NSW Spivs starts tomorrow. Any word on our Squad?

I note in a remarkable and sad fall from grace, Kurtis Patterson has been dropped from the Spivs Squad.

I really hope we have another batsman and Puc and Rogers are selected. Boland as well.

Short's injury in the Marsh Cup makes it look doubtful that we pick 6 front line bats. Need the fifth bowling option in there.

So Short is in there, not sure if he'll be 100% fit as it will only be 7 days between Marsh Cup and the Shield game. Think Crone misses and either Kellaway or O'Neill.

The guy who made a ton round 1?
87.

Averaging 31 so far after 2 rounds. Far from our biggest concern atm.
Needs more consistency.

As evidenced by averaging 17 last season but 47 the year before.
He should be somewhat on notice as a state player that we either get more out of or we look to improve on.

every time we seemingly put him on notice, he scores well. and then after that, not so much.
