Prediction What deals don't get done in the year of 2022?

Sharpe to Freo
One of Lobb or Meek. Both won't go. If Freo get a good deal for Lobb they won't let Meek go.
Mitchell
Henry maybe? I feel like there hasnt been anything actually concrete about that trade and it is people just speculating. I think Collingwood will want too much for him and Geelong will nope out.
I think it’s pretty obvious Henry wants the Cats, not sure how much they want him though, I will projectile vomit if we take anything less than a first.

Billy Frampton
Matt Crouch
Fischer McAsey
Lachie Sholl
Deven Robertson
Will Setterfield
Paddy Dow
Brodie Grundy
Ollie Henry
Caleb Poulter

That's a lot of people in the "Up in the Air" category (i.e. realistic chance of falling over). Not all of them have contracts for 2023 either....

If I hazard a guess at the Cat 2 deals most likely to fall over - I can't see all of Ratugolea/JHF/Rioli getting done unless Port give up a player of note, I think the Mitchell situation may have been left too late, I think Jackson isn't close enough to a deal for Lobb/Meek to break and Dunkley sounds like it's going to be very hard unless Brisbane give up someone decent.

RE: Cat 3's, these are mostly guys linked to the exit but the links aren't super formulated yet or seem too important. A lot of these will depend on existing deals too (think how Soldo's tied to the Hopper deal, Whitfield/Haynes as the Plan B for a cap dump, Bonner/Frederick with links to all the players the Power are keen on getting done, etc.)

Anyone I've missed?

Henry will get done. Not sure lobb will though.

Paddy Dow is in the unlikely column but I feel he actually gets traded.

In terms of the “up in the air” trades, I don’t think any of Ratugolea, Lobb or Sharp will be dealt.

Henry won’t get done.
Geelong smartass offer then using 18 on Bruhn was very insulting to Wright and the Pies.
PSD or stay will be his options.

Can’t see Rioli getting done.

Port would have to completely change tact or get a late trade request from one of their decent players (and then get their head around not demanding massive overs for said player).

Same applies for JHF - just all seems doomed to fail.

Excellent work compiling this.

I'd still put McAsey to Blues as 'Possible' though.

Why? is Melican unlikely

I just haven't heard an obvious suitor, he's still in contract and the one club that might've come for him just signed Zaine Cordy...

Unfortunately you are correct. Wish there was another team! He can go for free!
