PART 3 IS HERE --- >
Go there for your Pangolin-rich experience /\

There are other ethnic groups in the same socioeconomic class, and they are not seeing the same high level of deaths from this disease.
Link?

Skimmed the science daily link you posted but I didn't see mention of other ethnic groups, just whites and african americans.

we can look at this globally, or we can micro look at this.

Outraged at first by this stoppage and loss of income, i am beginning to think its not that bad, particularly if jobkeeper comes through which they say may well be for 6 months and backdated to march 1st.

I can do pretty well everything what i have been doing (swim, tennis, now golf is open, boating and gambling on the gee gees) and now it appears i will be payed for it, which BTW i will have no guilt accepting for something that i have had no control over.

We should do this for a month every year, i have spent plenty of time with my family and in particular my youngest son.
I agree with all that Every cloud has a silver lining as they say.
I agree, my son and daughter have moved back home - I haven't spent this much time with them since they were primary school.

That said the storm clouds on the horizon

The sad thing is that there are "black neighborhoods " Why cling together in ethnic groups.

I'm pretty happy that in my small street we have an Indian guy, a family of Maori's , Asian ( not sure where from originally but he has an accent so probably born overseas ), Italian, Croatian.
( i think it was the asian guy who sent the anonymous notice round the street about the laws regarding noise at night, after the Maori's had a big party, the Indian guy has some pretty big ones too ) .
People naturally gravitate towards those that are similar to them.

Its not unique to black neighbourhoods.

I'm of the opinion WA and SA will reduce the restrictions first. Further, all state governments will wait 14 days after Easter as this is a risk period where people might not be as strict with social distancing as normal.

So yes, you agree there is a time lag
Morrison did flag Anzac Day as the peak

Morrison did flag Anzac Day as the the peak

It will be interesting who makes the calls be it federal or the premiers

I’m thinking the states for movement and the feds for the economy

Yes and i consider that we are far less likely to transmit it over Easter, when many businesses, even essential ones, are closing, than in the last two weeks.
Our case load is decreasing even without this factor.

That's a good point.
Without being your sort of expert, it think its safe to say you can carry more than one virus at once, and in winter , lots of people are coughing.
In Europe its winter, and it could be that people carrying the COVID19 have other conditions causing them to cough and spread it.

I guess if i can smell some people's BO two isles across then its just as likely.

What is going here?

The World Health Organization (WHO) said it was looking into reports of some Covid-19 patients testing positive again after initially testing negative for the disease while being considered for discharge.

South Korean officials on Friday reported 91 patients thought to be clear of the coronavirus had tested positive again. Jeong Eun-kyeong, director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, told a briefing that the virus may have been “reactivated” rather than the patients being re-infected.

The Geneva-based WHO, asked about the report from Seoul, told Reuters in a brief statement: “We are aware of these reports of individuals who have tested negative for Covid-19 using PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing and then after some days testing positive again.

“We are closely liaising with our clinical experts and working hard to get more information on those individual cases. It is important to make sure that when samples are collected for testing on suspected patients, procedures are followed properly.”

I can see that with the likes of Sudanese, ( read about the history of Gach and Bigoa Nyuyon for example ), when they are new in Australia.
But the Blacks have been part of the USA for 100s of years. Its a terrible failure to assimilate.
We've seen generation after generation of immigrants become a valuable part of Australia. ( though anyone appearing asian is copping it badly right now ).

I heard that no-one , testing positive after being cleared had developed symptoms or passed it on to others. What i read suggested the test could be picking up dead virus cells.

Of course Easter isn’t making it worse right now. If people do the wrong thing and have gatherings when they shouldn’t, that won’t be reflected in the numbers we’re seeing right now. We’d start to see it come out in the statistical wash in a week or two.

Only if the people who have gatherings have the virus, which is statistically improbable.
Unless they are in South Yarra and surrounds, or Sorrento.

Integration doesn't change physical appearances.

Blacks are pretty well integrated in the US, just because ghetto areas are majority black doesn't mean that all blacks are this way. You see way more interracial couples in the US than you do Australia. (anecdotally)

In Perth there are pretty well defined Italian suburbs (slowly fading due to the old WW2 migrants dying) and Yokine has a high concentration of Jews.

Coronavirus - oxygen problems - are we using the wrong treatment?

I first saw this doctor in another video talking about weird lack of oxygen/high attitude sickness like symptoms with coronavirus.

Really worthwhile watching both videos.

Well here he is on Medscape, an arm of WebMD saying the same thing.

Interesting. Back in Australia, roughly the same oxygen story is on 7.30!

Is all this a cardiovascular/oxygenation story, not so much about conventional ARDS?

Hopefully that is true
