Words can't explain how badly the Walker concussion threw our team off. Once the defenders settled we lifted. Midfielders lifted and best of all it was the young brigade and Goldy that really got us going (Taylor, Thomas, and Simpkin).

What we saw in the second half is how we want to play, as in that's our game plan. Controlling possession.

Cunnington & Higgo got us going from the middle again in the 2nd half, but the defensive work rate of the forwards cannot be ignored.

CZ, Jed, Brown, Curtis & TT were epic with their desperation.

Goldstein, Simpkin & Polec were epic over 4 quarters.

Jesus christ the difference between the first and second half was unbelievable. Couldn’t hit a barn door in that first half. Second half was a lot of that same front on pressure from last year, tidied up the disposal and started to move it around instead of just up and down the line.

Curtis Taylor, kid is a ripper gonna have a few quiet ones but no matter how much footy we play this year he HAS to be playing got so much potential. Played a huge part in turning that around.

I really liked Jy’s game, can clean up his kicking a bit but it’s exciting seeing him take the game on through the middle.
