Recommitted Josh Schache [contracted and staying at Western Bulldogs]

The Dogs would have rocks in their head if they let him leave. He is a limited player, but is starting to show promise playing role. He wouldn't command huge money, and I can't see them picking up better replacement with more upside. You could do worse than him as your 3rd tall forward.

Limited footballer in some regard but he does have high football iq. Also Wright kicking 7 against us wasn’t his fault. Couple of breakdowns up field meant Schache had to leave wright and there was a couple of ruck infringements and Cordy brain fades that lead to about 4 off Wrights goals. He certainly wasn’t all to blame.

Reckon he can lock down a swing man spot. Keath back would have helped him a lot and he can do a defensive job up forward on the elite defenders.
Certainly has a role to play going forward.

With Naughton, Bruce and JUH forming a 3-pronged tall forward line, and the Doggies apparently balls-deep in Rory Lobb, there doesn't seem to be any place for Schache in the kennel anymore.

Very hard to get a read on him. Is he your classic "too good for VFL, not good enough for AFL" player? Has he been stuffed around and not allowed to settle at the Dogs? Would he perform better if he was given a clear role and greater opportunity in the seniors?

Would anyone be interested and what would you give up for him?

There was a Collingwood rumor if McStay was deemed too expensive at one point.

Our 4th round pick this year is about the most i would give up from a Carlton perspective.

Would be a low risk replacement for the delisted Oscar McDonald

He's a flanker in a KPPs body.
Will sometimes play a good game, but you just can't trust him to be a week in, week out player. Shame as he has all the tools - very skilled and a big tank.

Will kick 25+ playing a full season. Probably worth taking a punt on for a team without many options up forward.

Is absolutely not a crash and bash type though. Effectively a tall flanker
