I tend to believe Art Vandelay_ in that Parfitt is most likely a list clogger for Geelong at this point.

He had had plenty of opportunities to cement his place in Geelong's best 22 over the years, but hasn't seized the day.

Just a sunk asset for Geelong at this point

I don't think that's a fair assessment. He would've been one of the first players picked at the start of season 2022. He got injured at the wrong time and then Atkins was moved to the midfield and far exceeded expectations. Parfitt showed on the weekend that he and Atkins can co-exist in the same midfield.

I do agree that his trade value is next to nothing, but I also think he can be a very important player for us.
