2022-23 NBA Week 1: Drama for Wembanyama

Less than 3 days to go before the 2022-2023 season commences. Lest this be a special season not due to the crowning of a potential new champion, should the Warriors fail to repeat, but for the race to the bottom. The prize? 14% chance of securing the no 1 pick, and with it the newly termed Alien Victor Wembanyama the 7'2" point-shooting-centre.

There will be many distractions of course throughout the season, some consensual.

The season tips off with West and Eastern powerhouses colliding:

The Celtics minus coach Ime host traditional rivals from Philly. The 6ers look stacked with the addition of PJ Tucker, D House and Montrez Harrell. Lots of flexing here.
Meanwhile out west, will we see Draymond Green clocking a Lakers player? Let's hope it's Westbrook

Thanks for your patience during the off season. May the banter begin.

Dunno who you can realistically trade Westbrook for unless someone unexpected asks out, which will probably happen.

Wizards: 1) Beal. 2) Porzingis and Kuzma
Portland: 1) Lillard. 2) Grant, Hart and Nurkic (Jan 15)
Hornets: Hayward and Rozier.
Pistons: Bogdanovic, Noel, Burks and Kemba (Nov 21)
Jazz: Conley and one of Beasley/Clarkson/Markannen
Pacers: Hield and Turner

Thats what I could find. Blazers have best offer both ways but they would have to decide to tank.

Pacers or Jazz. Possibly Wizards if they really stink, although no amount of picks are going to help them unless they overhaul their scouting department.

Indy has the right idea holding out for two firsts. It's a seller's market.

Deni Avdija WILL play today after joining Detroit's Saddiq Bey, Phoenix's Mikal Bridges, Golden State's Kevon Looney and Dallas' Dwight Powell as the only players to appear in all 82 games last season.
AC Green likes this

Not a bit of D being played in Rox/Grizz but its very entertaining. Some crazy dunks.
Would love to see us not give up so many easy transition buckets.

GG Heatles.

Never easy winning there, Tatum and Batman (Grant Williams) was our best.

Stupid League Pass jagged on me FML

Looking forward to Denver v Golden State, knowing the Nugz, they will come out and beat the Dubs after losing to Utah :)
