Explain dropping Henry too me? He was one of the only guys that provided any run.
We got smashed around the ball, that’s not his doing.
Poor decision making. Running around in circles trying to think of something to do that looks flashy but then getting caught. That lazy kick in the third quarter with no pressure caused turnover resulting in a goal.

I don't think Liam Henry will make it as an AFL footballer. We are projecting things that just aren't there because of his high draft selection and profile.

His skills are over rated, he isn't evasive and has poor goal sense. We expect him to be a kosiah Pickett, brad hill, Sonny Walters he just doesn't seem to have the X factor.

Cost a goal in the last with that ridiculous centre, cost a goal in the first, by picking out the only defender among a sea of dockers forwards.

Slightly built high skilled players get given time to develop and rightfully so but from day dot in their limited touches they show their skills. We just haven't seen it with Henry.

We have Darcy, Amiss, Tabs, Jackson in the team. One has to go. IMO it's Jackson. Either him or Tabs. But Jackson going sends a very clear message that the clubs has the ability to make some tough decisions and mediocrity won't be accepted. Bring in a forward that can create opportunities.

Tabs goes. He is cooked and has never been able to play selflessly.

You have to go with youth, Tabs has had a good career at Freo from where he came from.
The guys around 30 have to be leaders on their line, Tabs, Hughes, Wilson are foot
soldiers and we need players that can at least physically compete.

Think Tabs goes out and a mobile tall in Treacy comes in. Jackson will never be dropped.
Sturt has to come in for Banfield. Can't keep pushing Banfield in, it's tripe.

When is the midfield going to be held to account? Loss by 15 and 1point. Midfield smashed in both.
Past two weeks,
Centre clearances have been smashed- 25 to 16
Clearances - 82 to 58!
Darcy has won both times in hit outs. Well in front. Something's not working.
The midfield at least battle even with any of those two games, the team would be 2-0. That's all. Centre clearances was horrific last night.

Defence is holding up.

If Switkowski is the midfield, then bring in a small/medium forward such a Sturt to replace. Don't start playing JOM up forward. If he's shit in the middle, he's out.

Taberner goes
Think that was obvious from Longmuir's post match, interested in who gets the nod as the replacement. Talking about NOD he is a certainty but knowing our coaching staff that might be where the changes stop (I am guessing Hughes and Tabs out). I don't dislike anyone who plays for Fremantle but I just have no faith in any improvement until Hughes and Banfield are not seen as best 22. AND if we are getting smashed in the midfield you have a midfield bull in Erasmus waiting for a crack.

Watching live at the game I had a totally different impression. Henry does make mistakes sure everyone out there fu%%%% up several times but I like that he has more time than previous years, is looking for good kicks and making them more often than not. The entire team is shitting themselves in front of goal but I see more development potential in Henry than Hughes or Banfield but I would also like a look at Sturt again for an extended period of time.

The appropriate comparison is Wanganeen-Milera who has shown much more at this stage with less game time.

Lacks pace, skills and decision making. Delist

Where's the hurt factor though. Kicks lack penetration and doesn't hit the scoreboard. If I'm an opposition player and there's a 50/50 ball 70m from goal is be more concerned by an overweight, stoned Junior Rioli with a bottle of Gatorade in one hand the Liam Henry ATM.

Am impressed by the shape he's come back in but I feel I'm more infatuated with the idea of Liam Henry then Liam Henry the 4th year player. Early days in the season but would love to see some of the hurt factor that he displayed in the u18s state champs.

Yeah I have to say I was baffled with the good reviews about Henry after the St Kilda game. He was getting the ball more so that's a positive, but his decision making was just so poor. He's not a kid anymore, it's his 4th year in the system.

OUT: Tabs, Hughes, JOM, Wilson, Jackson, Brodie

IN: Sturt, Traecy, MJ, Ras, Noddy, Walker

It's round 2. Playing the kids to tank for a draft pick that's going to Melbourne anyway would be insane at this stage IMO. You don't throw the baby out with the bath water after 2 games.

Shuffle the deck with the current 23 with minimal changes for the next 2 or 3 weeks backing in what they've planned over the off season. Taberner out for Walters, the tall forward line has failed. Sturt into the 22 and Banfield the sub. Brayshaw has never been great at clearances, play him on the wing. Switta, Walters and Fyfe when he returns to play a 70/30 forward/mid split.

If the season is cooked 10 weeks in then go with Erasmus, Johnson, etc.

What's really noticeable from the clubs social media is how relaxed the players have been pre-game. The players have believed the Flagmantle hype. Laughing and joking, signing autographs and posing for selfies pre-game. I reckon we won't see that next week, perfect timing for a derby. You'd never see that under RTB or Clarko.

His kicking action also sucks. Always looping, never penetrating or flat. His kicking I50 is always high and so easy for opposition to track down and spoil or mark.

the glaringly obvious change that needs to happen will not. Taberner must go, he is simply poison in the fwd line. id rather try Corbett up there than him.

second to go that will not is Jackson, any other player throwing up his numbers would be dropped immediately.

this club makes me sick

I'll be really surprised if Taberner is in the 22 for the derby, especially with how much better we looked when he went off.

Jackson won't be dropped. If the club trade 2 x first rounders for a guy running around at Peel then the club hierarchy need to go. Dropping Tabs automatically frees up space for Jackson. And get him up the ground, a few cheap marks on the wing to build his confidence would go a long way.

If we traded 2 first rounders for a guy playing for Peel then Garlick, Walls, Bell, JLo, anyone that rubber stamped the trade has to go.

Drop Taberner, play Sturt, Amiss, Walters and Schultz inside 50. Jackson at CHF pushing on to the wings.

There are signs. He just needs to iron a few things out and show more defensive pressure intent. Only 2 tackles and 12 pressure acts.

He had two turnovers, which everyone has crucified him for. Granted they were bad turnovers. I prefer the criticism mentioned by a poster that after the turnovers he didn’t show enough defensive intent.

He also only had 293metres gained. More pressure, and more run and keep improving his decision-making which will come with increased game time.

Hughes sits on the pill too long and needs to get moving. Mr Safety first, yet he ended up with 5 turnovers.
