The day Sam Sturt wins a Normie is the day I buy a liquor store and gift it to you. You can bookmark that. They are also the sorts of blokes who win Norm Smiths.
Honestly, Iām a big fan of Sturt but he had lost a few too many 1v1 contests this year. Iād agree when he first played he looked he really strong but for some reason, I think thatās deserted him a little bit despite being noticeably strongerHe's actually deceptively strong in a one on one contest, numerous times I've seen him work a larger opponent under the ball to take a contested mark

Are you Sturts dad.. .Sheesh.
I know you're both number 1 supporters of each player but I dont think you're doing yourself any favours trying to justify ya boys 2 disposal game as anything other than terrible. Got to take the loss on this oneAre you Sturts dad.. .Sheesh.
I'll post what I want ok![]()
Whether that's the case or not, I don't see how that prevents me from commenting how I wish and copping insults from itI know you're both number 1 supporters of each player but I dont think you're doing yourself any favours trying to justify ya boys 2 disposal game as anything other than terrible. Not if they make him the subThis week could be the game where Erasmus cements his spot in the team.
I'm not sure we can start calling "are you his mum" an insult or we'll start deleting a lot of stuff though I suppose Spirit Level could stop saying it repeatedly and just agree to disagree.Whether that's the case or not, I don't see how that prevents me from commenting how I wish and copping insults from it
Saying banners would of been handy in the 4th quarter when their defense was starting to intercept those marks is reasonable. Didn't say he necessarily could of though.
If someone does not like my comment they can ignore it. Not post an insult. I don't go around doing that and I expect the same
I reckon Sammy Sturt lacks only consistent marking ability to be a classic half forward flanker who, on his day, could bob up for a lazy two or three.
Beautiful kick of the footy. Fast. Crafty. Opportunistic. Doesn't create, only benefits - textbook flanker really.
Those kinds of blokes are at the mercy of supply and will continually wax and wane in the public eye. They are also the sorts of blokes who win Norm Smiths.
I like a forward line that has three beautiful kicks at goal in it. Nev, Kahuna and Sturt are all natural goal kickers.
That sensational droppunt goal from the pocket Sturt kicked? He never looked like missing. Cool as a ******* cucumber. Which has just been removed from the freezer, from behind the footy franks. By the Ice Queen. In winter.
Yeah I'm remembering a few before his big knee injury but he also took a nice contested mark against Brisbane this year from memory.Honestly, Iām a big fan of Sturt but he had lost a few too many 1v1 contests this year. The 1v1 monstoring if Hurley in the goal square sticks out to me, he needs to be at least halving the majority of his aerial contests to stay in the team IMOYeah I'm remembering a few before his big knee injury but he also took a nice contested mark against Brisbane this year from memory.
It's a bonus if he can improve his contested marking anyway IMO as his strength is leading and finding space

Sturt did what he had to do at that time and got us back in the game, how is that not a positive when Hurley had 10kgs on him?Hurley was on his way out, his poor 1 on 1 from that year and the years that followed ultimately lead to his exclusion / retirement. I donāt think itās anything to write home about.

For example, I dont think there's really any justification or reasoning for lamenting Banfield being subbed off because we were playing basically with 21 players before he was so we'll agree to disagree. If Sturt's Dad could stop calling you Banners mum that would be great though![]()

I have a feeling the "Mum" title is in name only and the biology of the two creating Samly Sturtfield to lead us to premiership glory in 20 years might be difficultAlthough, if one of them is Sturts ās mum and the other one Banfieldās dad, then maybe they should quite literally get a room? In 20 years time we might have the best of both rolled into one !!!
