Carlton supporters should pay more respect to Collingwood.

Collingwood are the reason Carlton got within a kick of the Preliminary Final in 2011, because the Pies had beaten up on a West Coast team who knew a win in the Qualifying Final would set up their finals campaign, whilst a loss would make the formula nigh on impossible.

Similarly with Melbourne in 2023. That Qualifying Final determined the Premier, and once Melbourne lost that, they knew they were done. It didn't help that they were pre-occupied for the entire week bleating about how much of a disgrace Maynard was.

Maybe one day Carlton will be good enough to be worthy of playing Collingwood in September, but I'm not holding my breath...

I don't care about the cheating as such, every team cheats one way or another.

What I am saying is, you have shown so far, you needed to cheat to win flags, since they put a stop to it, all you can win is spoons.

The AFL only ever found out bits and pieces of what was systemic cheating by Carlton in the Elliot years.

I don't think anyone can 'expect' to make top 4 in 2024.

I for one wouldn't fall off my chair if any of the following teams finished top 4:
Collingwood
Brisbane
Port Adelaide
Sydney
GWS
Carlton
Melbourne
Adelaide
Western Bulldogs

So there's 9 teams. And teams like St. Kilda, Geelong, Richmond, Fremantle, Gold Coast and Essendon (after their recent trading) would also be hitting the pre-season with hopes of top 4.

Most would have Collingwood and Brisbane more likely than not to finish top 4, whilst the remaining teams would all be less likely than likely.
