Enjoying the #whatsboutisms to start the the season
Facts are Carlton are 3 and zip
Pies are lost in Mexico, south of the border, Juan and 3
Carlton 7-0
Pies 1-6
and no I'm not bias.
Ah the joys of waking up knowing Sam Walsh is due back in a couple of weeks and the Pies still look junk playing their full squad
Gotta love deflection from pies fans who know their season is on the brink, whilst Carlton are basking in wins..
14 of their last 16
Collingwood winning a paltry one out of 4.
Very happy with picking up E Hollands too for a song whilst Collingwood’s elite recruit in Schulz languishes..
2024
3 and zip
Juan and 3
Collingwood Juan & 3
Carlton 3-0
Have beaten every competitor of late since R14 last year except for GWS who we lost to in the deadest of rubbers..
Did someone say the debate is over![]()
Only the dumb Pies supporters that can't(or don't want to see it)
“Might even be better”: Have the Blues improved since their Prelim run in 2023?
They have started the season in winning form.www.sen.com.au
So, lets talk 2024
Carlton are in the top 8
Collingwood are in the bottom 10
Curnow not getting many free kicks

We're just too good and they know it. They know we'll go 5-0 while they are what, 2-3?
Adelaide at home, thats a win
Gws at home, that's a win
Geelong at mcg, thats a win
Collingwood mcg, thats a win
They know we will be 8-0 by round 9 and on top of the ladder.
carlton_99 I stand by my position that Carlton supporters were crowing rounds 3-5, where the Adelaide loss was then just a meaningless game. A sprinkle back from the Pies now that we are twice as far into the season is fairly normal, I'm pretty sure.It was plain to see that we had our eye on the next 4 games, so as i said just a meaningless game.

It's a long season - 0-3 is nothing in the grand scheme of things
Excuse me? I provided an updated analysis of McKay (combined goals/assists relative to other forwards) and you blanked me, so it is clear you would much rather take digs at me than actually discuss football. As you have in the above post. I was merely commenting on why a rolling 6 game form ladder is a pretty normal thing to discuss in a banter thread, or else just lock the thing up until both teams have ended their season. My post was related to what was being said in this thread in 2023 - obviously before you entered the fold. Carlton were apparently "way off" the top 4 despite finishing 5th because of the gap in wins. Now it's suddenly about the six ladder positions between Carlton and Collingwood rather than the points.
And on your second point I thought I was a "sophisticated poster" - now I don't have any opinions? You can continue being the condescending poster you are who actually contributes nothing to the conversation other than repeating the exact same thing over and over again to get some cheap likes.
When did I say the Pies fans were doing anything wrong? I am just confused what they look at to judge the difference between two teams - is it points/wins which they used last year when it suited them or ladder positions which is being used now because it suits them.carlton_99 I stand by my position that Carlton supporters were crowing rounds 3-5, where the Adelaide loss was then just a meaningless game. I discussed it with you and said that I look at other things besides goal assists (and provided other stats) and you kept going back to that one stat. What exactly do you expect me to do - just repeat myself again that I look at other things?Excuse me? You’ve done my bumping for me thanks Meowcarlton_99 I stand by my position that Carlton supporters were crowing rounds 3-5, where the Adelaide loss was then just a meaningless game. A sprinkle back from the Pies now that we are twice as far into the season is fairly normal, I'm pretty sure.
And my point is that the pointing out of the ladder merely reflects the actual talking point, which is their respective form lines/results over the past 6 weeks. This thread is essentially always a current form topic, with the odd future speculation post thrown in. One side trending up and another down is naturally a talking point, just like it was at round 3 when the Blues supporters were chirping a lot more. It seems you are trying to moderate the discussion after being a real stickler against people you perceive to do that. When did I say the Pies fans were doing anything wrong? Robertio most Blues fans take no notice!Oh wow you’ve learnt how to multi quote!
Triggered. Much.
Yeah I'm devastated, practically in the foetal position right now because...I found a few silly comments after being asked who was crowing.Oh wow you’ve learnt how to multi quote!
Triggered. Much.
In time my wound will heal from this truly savage retort. You do realise you tagged me
If only I could block posters, you are near the top of my list!
Why are you telling me what this thread is? I have been part of it and lived harmoniously (mostly...) with the Pies supporters for 2+ years. And I have done no such moderating - you are still not understanding my point and I won't repeat it again. And my point is that the pointing out of the ladder merely reflects the actual talking point, which is their respective form lines/results over the past 6 weeks. Just talk footy, the personal nonsense is below a Moderator.
Thanks for asking Rob, things are going fine. How’s it going with you guys ?3-0 with a game in hand this season yes this season will do us fine, how are the Pies going?
Actually this means a lot, it's rare for people to ask. I accidentally had the toaster dial set to 3, so ended with a medium brown slice that was just a bit above how I normally like it. So, not the greatest of days overall. Are you actually okay, I mean you do realise what this thread is yeah?
You really are triggered, can you actually stop tagging people
Or are you wearing back and white, but now seems a convenient time to troll
That is not what I said at all - once again completely missed the point of my post.Carlton_99 asked why people are commenting on the ladder/form line in round 10. I found a few comments that provided a clue.
Collingwood have lost more games in the last four than Carlton have in their last 16 games…
Carlton 14-2 since they went on that famous run
Collingwood 1-3 in only 4 games
Is the debate over yet?![]()
I provided what you asked for (why form is being commented on; the trend in ladder positions are merely an output on that) and it actually copped me a lot of heat. You really threw me under the bus 99. I won't be falling for a trap like that again. Why are you telling me what this thread is?
