My post was related to what was being said in this thread in 2023 - obviously before you entered the fold. Carlton were apparently "way off" the top 4 despite finishing 5th because of the gap in wins. Now it's suddenly about the six ladder positions between Carlton and Collingwood rather than the points.

And on your second point I thought I was a "sophisticated poster" - now I don't have any opinions? You can continue being the condescending poster you are who actually contributes nothing to the conversation other than repeating the exact same thing over and over again to get some cheap likes.

Excuse me? I provided an updated analysis of McKay (combined goals/assists relative to other forwards) and you blanked me, so it is clear you would much rather take digs at me than actually discuss football. As you have in the above post. I was merely commenting on why a rolling 6 game form ladder is a pretty normal thing to discuss in a banter thread, or else just lock the thing up until both teams have ended their season.

When did I say the Pies fans were doing anything wrong? I am just confused what they look at to judge the difference between two teams - is it points/wins which they used last year when it suited them or ladder positions which is being used now because it suits them.

I discussed it with you and said that I look at other things besides goal assists (and provided other stats) and you kept going back to that one stat. What exactly do you expect me to do - just repeat myself again that I look at other things?

Actually this means a lot, it's rare for people to ask. I accidentally had the toaster dial set to 3, so ended with a medium brown slice that was just a bit above how I normally like it. So, not the greatest of days overall.

Carlton_99 asked why people are commenting on the ladder/form line in round 10. I found a few comments that provided a clue.

"Triggered!" "Salty!" "Obsessed!" all falls under deflective nonsense aimed to discuss anything BUT football/banter around the two clubs. Have some good grace, take the medicine and then spark back up when the Blues beat Gold Coast under the more sterile conditions they thrive in under the roof.

The respective form lines are a talking point, of course they are! That was all I came in to comment on. If it MUST be contained to only Carlton and Collingwood supporters I will fully respect that. I was just clarifying a point.
