Did the posters claiming the Crows will go out in straight sets actually see the Collingwood and Brisbane games?

Or the Bulldogs, Fremantle and Gold Coast also struggle to get over the line?

The only 2 teams that won well were Hawthorn (who the Crows beat a week ago) and Geelong (who played at home against an Essendon reserves team).

It’s not like all other contenders won by 10 goals this round.
It's the time of year with silly season results

The dud flavour teams have a spring in their step because it's almost over

Finals-bound teams relax a fraction. They're there, just need to stay healthy. Bigger games coming up. Not at full intensity. Rest a few stars.

Occasionally there's a team in a scrap for a spot in the 8 who choke. Upsets increase.

We are in round 22 and Nicks sitll doesn't know the best midfield mix is Rankine, Dawson and Soligo. I have no problem with an injury free Crouch either. Berry out next week please, good depth but not good enough unfortunately.

Like ZT and Pedlars game today.

Defence was shambolic but did well in the last 10 minutes

Shuestar13 credit to your boys today. Also at the ground and the Eagles supporters were awesome.

That’s good to hear haha - I think the crowd by and large would have been happy to at least have a competitive game 😆 It was the loudest I have heard the crowd for a very long time, since the Saints game at least. Watching it on tv unfortunately, not at the ground today.

Saying the wrong thing repeatedly doesn’t make it correct. See if you can guess which player was the leading contested ball winner on the ground in the 2nd half. Also, let me know if that same player was in the top 3 for score involvements.

sorry must have missed it while he let players run around him. if you want to rate rankines game. go ahead. easily pleased.

did you not read the 2nd sentence clarifying why?

You thought he tried hard for four quarters, I disagreed with that.

Not sure how you could tell how hard he was trying when he was invisible for most of the game (he wasn't the only one but no one else is suggesting others were 'good')

10 disposals - 6 were uncontested
2 turnovers
2 tackles
0 goal assists
2 'one percenters'

That's not a 'good' game.

Yes to this.

Taylor, Pedlar just did what they had to.

Dawson held it all together

Thilthorpe and Rankine when it mattered.

Burgess just no good. Bond has delusions about his ability. Jones had a great chance to come on and put some speed on the game and just played bruise free stuff before being chucked onto Kelly I think

Burgess and Jones can f off. Bond we persist if he promises to stick to his role.
Bond did try to do a bit too much sometimes... he needs to find the right balance and get used to the speed... he's definitely an afl player. A few more games will do him good.

Unlike burgess who's proven time and time again he's not afl standard, folds under pressure and didn't gel well with the other forwards. First time this year all fwds were going for the same mark.

And you had a go at me for calling out jones weeks ago, he did nothing today that he hasn’t done the last 5 games.

I never said he played well. I said at least he tried and showed heart and didnt jog around like many other players. You are so desperate to tell me how shit he is when thats exactly what I said.

Bit worried about Peatling and Berry the last two weeks.

We need them to be able to go head-to-head with the best midfields soon. They don't need to get 30+ but do need to contribute strongly.

Berry 13 & Peatling 10 touches vs Hawthorn

yep. People need to calm down. Of course we were going to have an off game at somepoint. We'vewon 7 straight and 10 of the last 11.

Not enough credit it Dawson in this thread, was huge and kept us in the game. Had 14 tackles!

Won 7 in a row and people are calling out straight sets, sack the coaches , get rid off half the team FFS.

Went to Perth, got the win, move on.

Top of the table a game clear.

He is on a roll. 10, 12 and 14 tackles last 3 weeks

4 spilt marks

Pedlars 3rd goal was on his opposite leg and kicked like it was his natural leg.
He had a prosthetic leg. :D

... and that just covers Burgess :poov1:.

He had 2 chances in the last to redeem himself, maybe even only partially, but fluffed both shots when we needed at least one of them.
Never to be selected for AFL again, I hope.
Dowling especially, but Draper (when tanked and muscled up) offer much more.

We used to ambush teams that didn't rock up in our crap years just a few seasons ago.

Our players (many of which were in the team back then) should be well aware of that risk

Can’t agree, but you gave credit to Burgess but called out Rankine RT and Pedlar

Because he at least tried. that was my point. the fact Burgess lack of ability had been brought to the fore and highlighted was because he was the only one providing genuine options for our team to kick too.

All I said was he played with heart. Last time I checked it doesnt make him a star.
