at least Burgess tried. He maybe shit but he was one of the few players who actually showed like they care and had heart.

The bad

The ugly> the rest of the players going to perth were on a holiday. disgraceful effort by a lot of star players. Some woke up but for most of the game I think we genuinely just played like it was just going to happen. Bruise free footy, golden tickets, call the issue what you like. Clearly most of the team should be ****ing embarrassed.

Some noticeably shit and I am calling them out

Hinge, Worrell, Keane, Thilthorpe, Rankine, Murray, Pedlar, Keays, Fogarty, ANB could add many others.

Dawson by a mile, Rankine getting in the best players with that effort is a terrible look for the rest of the team.

You’re putting way too much emphasis on one instance where an opponent ran past him and ignoring the twenty times he won the ball in the second half with the game on the line. His clearance work, outside running game and finishing were all elite. Rankine’s third term was comparable to Dawson’s second last week - along with Taylor he dragged us back into the game. He then backed it up in the last with another pretty good quarter including a crucial goal.

Our scores off turnover were way down today. We seemed to drop some marks early so maybe missed some opportunities. It wasn't until Q4 that Keane and Worrell plucked a few intercepts.

Didn't seem like our pressure around the ball was all that good. Didn't force the indiscriminate hack kicks forward

They had more numbers at the drop of the ball every time. Not sure how that’s possible, you’d think something would have to give somewhere, but no.

What are you talking about? Rankine was best on ground, give or take maybe Dawson. I think he’ll likely get 8-10 coaches votes.

In the second half he had 20 disposals, 8 inside 50s, 5 score involvements, 517 metres gained and a brilliant solo goal. First half was quiet but he absolutely turned the game when he went into the midfield.

Kelly should get 10 imo

Rankine had a good last quarter. 4 quarter effort anyone? But that lack of chase and tackle allowing the WCE player to run past him was by definition inexcusable lazy crap and he deserves a roast for it. Pedlar, lol.

What about his third. 12 touches and 3 tackles. Got us back in it. Pedlar 3 opportunist goals in a low scoring game really good.

Based on today's effort I'd say its more likely than not.

Absolute rubbish, last week we were incredible against Hawthorn. Performance changes occasionally week to week.

Collingwood were awful against Hawthorn, I doubt they play that badly against us either.

Couple of two grabs that should have been one grabs and balls that didn’t bounce the right way from having a great day.

We are a different team at home and still struggle on the road like most teams do but more so with the long trip to Optus.

I think you may be underselling the Eagles effort today. The Crows weren't allowed to play their best football due to the constant pressure.

He has a harder pass mark because we rely on him as all teams rely on our star players. Rankine himself will easily say that was not his best game. I refuse to pass efforts against a side where he should be absolutely ripping them apart. Was he bad today in a regular context of players, no he fought back and did some good things. Had an average first half and while he got into the game in the third, I still dont think he really hit his dominant best. He got us back for the win but honestly, had he and many others played like they should have at the beginning we should never have been in that position.

So to me he is every bit as guilty as the rest of the team of taking a holiday.
