Hopefully we can make up a few points for West and Khamis gets nominated after 50 so we can have another pick around 50ish which is in Nanscaawen and Jed Hill territory.
OK thanks.
How's his forward defensive work?
If he's any good at all we should lock him in.
defensive work is good but I have him around late or a rookie right now.

So, we need some forwards. A non-KPF forward.

Late picks on forwards OR do we target a mid next year?
Depends on if we think that the mid this year is the best player or not.

Also where we view Khamis and Chatfield playing, if we trade for one, if we have enough points we have a pick around 50 for one of the better small forwards (Nanscawen and Jed Hill). There are a few variables at this stage.

Could be time for a thread name change. Looking very likely we add someone before we think about drafting West and Khamis. Would love the Izak Rankin thread :p

Is chatfield a safe lock for us?

waiting on the Sandringham v Geelong results
Khamis BoG for the Jets in a win over Oakleigh?
That's good to read.

Now can we send him back to play for his school for the rest of the year?

from AFL Draft Central

#9 Lochie Dawson

Dawson was easily one of Rebels’ hardest workers across the four terms. His efforts across the ground contributed to a good deal of link ups, exhibiting a smart read on the flow of play. The hard ball was no stranger to Dawson, fighting hard against the grain and causing some serious transition through outstanding clearance work. Clean and effective, Dawson was a sure standout for the struggling Rebels.

#38 Buku Khamis

Khamis was the intercept marking king for the match with at least five of his 12 grabs intercepts for the Jets. His ability to read the play allowed him to leave his player and take strong marks. Not only that but Khamis used the ball effectively and efficiently. Sometimes his decision making can be questioned however today he was outstanding and racked up plenty of the footy.

Pretty exciting write up!

We could be bringing in a seriously good hall this year if we end up with a top 10 pick, West, Buku, and maybe Dawson and Chatfield. Pretty exciting considering how good our youth already is

Can u please explain how w get buku other than the draft?

if Buku isn't bidding on during the draft, he will become a Cat B Rookie Player straight away.

So meaning if Bulldogs want him to play AFL Games, they would need to upgrade him to a Cat A rookie after an injury or mid season.
Kinda like how they used to do rookie upgrades.

It seems more and more likely we’re gonna have a chance at Rankine.

Would people take him over Bailey Smith or a King?

Rankine, West, Khamis and another NGA boy seems like a pretty good haul.

My understanding is that the fans aren't really equipped to make a call on Rankine: the interviews and behavioural stuff are going to be everything. He's absurdly talented. The question is whether he is going to allow that to translate.

Adelaide currently have pick 15, 16 and 19. I wonder of they'd trade up for rankine.
Alternatively, would we do it?
Pick 19 is getting dangerously close to Rhylee West territory, and 15 + 16 would be a large points difference to pick 6.

I guess if we really liked a player we think could slide we'd consider it but it would be a very brave call by Sam Power in his first draft.
