For those worried about Hendo up forward if it happens. That PF back in 2016 was his first game for six weeks. He was clearly underdone and a liability that night. This year there aren't those concerns. He is healthy and match fit, a complete contrast from three years ago.

He's also not overflowing with confidence.

Blitz cannot go in the ruck again they need him down back.
Not necessarily, if taylor and hendo are both in the backline we don’t need blics back there.

This is half the reason we’ve brought hendo in, it gives us options to move things around during the game.

Stanley forward would be a different match up for the tigers due to his height so it’s certainly a possibility.

I admit that I'm not a fan of putting Henderson in, especially if he plays forward - I only recall him playing forward for us once, and that was a Preliminary Final vs. Sydney in 2016...

I would personally have preferred they made a bolder decision with the in - maybe another young, hard tackling midfielder or forward (Constable, Jones) or one of the younger/newer forwards (Kreuger, Buzza or Fort). But history shows us that Scott and the current coaching staff tend towards older, more defensive players.

I'll be there supporting hard, but only give us a 15-25% chance of winning.

The trouble with Taylor and Henderson ( especially) as forwards - they just regress so much as footballers

You look at Glen Jackovich who was a tremendous CHB - the Eagles tried him later on every now and again as a CHF - and he looked just such an ordinary player in that position - you couldnt think of someone being so good as a CHB being so ordinary as a CHF - but he was

Thats why i wanted Rohan in - a forward comes in for a forward - and none of the other structure is messed with

Its why I wanted to have Kruger or Buzza tried earlier in the year.. They tried Fort but he was no real replacement if Hawk went down...
Taylor can mark it ..but he is not a natural..to ask him to kick goal in a PF when he doesnt do it year round... and henderson has never shown any form as a forward while at Geelong

People see things differently, some take note of things that others may find irrelevant.

I can honestly say I don’t know half the umpires in the league, but every time we have nicholls I notice his bias.

If you dont notice it that’s fine, I’m not the only one who sees it.

If umpires actually had bias they wouldn't last in the league!

We will get that if they park any two of the following there at the same time - Hendo, Taylor, Stanley, SavRat... That's if they don't clunk it themselves!
Don't forget, this Richmond defence get's shaky once the ball is up in the air and we have some big marking targets.

Most of those goals that came in succession against the Tigers was when the ball went fast into the forward line with long-bombs... Tigers defence will initially panic in the air, then when it spills, then good luck against Miers, Ablett, Dahlhaus, etc
Cannot wait for Atkins to crunch Houli. All Australian and having a great year. Needs to be pressured from the first bounce to stop their effective ball use from D50.

Absolute shocking decision bringing Henderson in.

Terrible.

Not only is he a terrible finals player. It Means we either play him forward, crystaling the loss of Hawkins or we rob our defence playing Taylor forward.

We needed to play an unconventional small forward set up to be unpredictable. Hard to plan against. A specialised forward game plan to take advantage of Richmond’s tall defenders. As said, unpredictable small set up with pressure.

Instead we bring in a 50% version of Hawkins to obviously play the same way (bomb it on the heads of the forwards).

This stupid Scott decision has likely cost us a premiership

If you're going to blame anyone for the mayhem created up forward and the selection headaches this week, blame Hawkins.

Speaking of Atkins it was his Birthday yesterday, wonder what his wish was when he blew out the candles!! 😝😉
I have it on good authority that his wish was to Crom. It wasn’t really a wish, it was more a promise. Something along the lines of:

“Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women!”

Nice one, seems like you know a fair bit about footy. You should quickly write an email to Simon Lloyd and get him to sub you in ASAP.
