Laird's first strike got off. (The video is reversed)

That would be assessed as Intentional, High and Low impact. Yet Cunners bump is considered medium because according to Kingy, he had to go to the bench to get assessed.

Yeah, we'll appeal.

Christian has form with ridiculous charges that get thrown out or downgraded.

How that guy still has a job is amazing. Total pelican.
It’s amazing how many times our players seem to be on the end of some of these ridiculous decisions he makes.

It’s no coincidence the bloke sees us a soft target.

We actually need someone from the club to put him on notice so he thinks twice about continually suspending our players for acts that go unpenalised in other games.

Said assessment must have consisted of “you right mate?” as he played on without sitting out the requisite 20 minutes in accordance with concussion protocols.

We’ll appeal and will be successful.

AFL Scriptwriters have been busy overnight, so far this morning, i have heard numerous times, from different sources, Heeney's off the ball broken hand was suffered only in the act of pushing off to get to a contest, and Harbrow's collision was only in the act of contesting the ball.

Just going back to the Zac Williams suspension where it was graded medium impact, that was a direct hit to the head and definitely a lot more impact. We can argue the 'medium' impact and the high contact considering the initial hit was to the body and any head contact was minimal.

The rules are written in such a way as to leave enough ambiguity to make it difficult to challenge. He was Careless which is better than Intentional however the Impact of Medium is the result of a High Bump with Significant impact however the absence of injury does not preclude a Severe (or in this case Medium) grading. They will have to prove it was to the Body and not above the shoulders to reduce to a Fine. Assuming the footage is the same outside of the impacted player stating he does not recall being hit above the shoulders not sure what new evidence they can introduce.
Interesting to see how the club approaches this.
