Need to rework the old Baddiel and Skinner with the Lightning Seeds song.
It's coming home,
It's coming home, it's coming,
Ashes coming home.

How about rewriting Come out ya Black and Tans with something like

Tell them how Mitchie J made ya run like hell away from the green and lovely fields of the Gabbaaaa

Seeing how the Fleet Street tabloids and media react to the loss of the Ashes, just a couple of months after being victorious 3-0, will make interesting reading.

Their main targets will no doubt be England captain Alastair Cook, Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann, James Anderson, and Matt Prior.

England coach Andy Flower will cop some harsh treatment from the English media covering the tour too.

It would be pointless England naming an unchanged lineup for Melbourne after 3 catastrophes in a row. A head needs to roll, and unless Bairstow is a truly awful keeper he probably should take Prior's spot.

the actual journalists will be fine, critiquing the performance and offering solutions but being fairly reasonable, the past players who have columns will probably be a bit more outrageous and the editors will give them all a bad name.

I think that's how he pronounced 'bowlers' as well... ;)

That's how I'm spelling it. :D

Great day for Australian cricket today, we didn't do it through the old production line, selectors really had to put together a squad, that was both capable, and could play together.

Lets face it, who would have said Haddin, Smith & Johnson would play pivotal roles in winning back the Ashes?????

....and they've been the big moment guys. :thumbsu:

So when England and Australia next meet for the Ashes in England, who do you reckon will be there for 1) England and 2) Australia?

While Michael Clarke will captain the Ashes holders, who will be Clarke's opposite number to try and regain the urn?

Geez, he's been terrific Ryano, he reckon's it's 3 bowlers who are mates, backing each other up with the ball.

......and he's probably a dozen stubbies in.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Geoff Lawson commented he thinks this is the best seam bowling group we've had since Lillee, Thompson & Walker.

High praise indeed, and probably not far off the mark.
