Not sure what happened tonight other than we got exposed and have lots of work to do if we can easily be shutdown by a team that will struggle to play finals along with some less than perfect conditions.

McRae really strangled us and almost got the points, Warner is infuriating most of the time and other times brilliant, Cootee was basically the only one who was applying pressure and tackling inside our 50.

We are still heavily reliant on Rampe/Bice needs a spell and Tommy felt like he was still hampered by the injury

Grundy was exceptional when he was off the ground they got 2 quick ones and looked like they would kill the game.

Felt a predictable pies gutsy effort, they do that well, credit to them, said pre game wasn’t easy

We had to fight to win, that was a positive, Grundy dominated but no real opponent


Every good side has had off weeks, so we need to stop judging our own side harshly, which is hard during the game for me sorry

A good win. Collingwood absolutely came at us in the first quarter and shut down our usual game style with intense pressure (which incidentally is why the free kick count is so high in our way). But we ground it out like good teams do.

I get the grand final losses have people spooked, but no other side has been flawless

We played 1.5 quarters mainly a very strong 3rd quarter but probably would of been out of reach if Collingwood kicked better than 1.7 in the 2nd.
