Adam Simpson admitted on radio once that when coaches are asked to give their votes, they'll often treat it as a throw-away thing after the match, as they're not really concentrating on it due to the other stuff they have on their plate post-match.

I've found it hard to put much stock in them since finding that out.

He'll take it like a dropped game, content that we dodged a bullet & got the points by good luck.
No reason to be generous with his votes knowing the very opposition players that got away from us.

Very fortunate.
The only way to make amends is to get back on track this week against Pies.
Now had we had an easy win against the Roos, I feel that this week against the Pies would have been that danger game that we would drop by not being switched on enough.
I'm sure the axe will be swung this week. Who will cop it?

20% of his disposals were kickins. 80% of his disposals were uncontested. No clearances.

Basically sat in the backline and collected a lot of easy disposals.

I find it hard to believe any coach could watch that game and not have Heeney in their top five players on the ground. I gave my five votes to Blakey over Heeney, but I imagine coaches have different attitudes towards those half-back flankers, depending on who is trying to stop them getting space. But Heeney literally did it all out there.
