AFL in the USA

My son lives in the USA. Last year he watched the essendon games thru Bomber TV but unfortunately as we all know they are no longer allowed to show games. Does anyone know if the games are available on the net and how you access this? Thanks

I wasn't aware that they arn't going to be showing replays this year...

Umm i know that it's illegal but you can probably download the latest games from download sites such as Utorrent.
But only use this if nobody else can come up with any better solutions.
There must be better options out their somewhere.

I too live in the US and watch the footy live on a channel called Setanta, which is currently broadcast by both Dish Network and DirecTV - both satellite providers. It's $15 a month for the subscription, but worth it if your son is able to afford the extra outlay. He might be able to go through ITVN also.

Point him to http://www.afana.com if he needs to know more. I know full well how crap it is to be without the footy!

If he can't access those providers then I am afraid he'll be stuck with torrents or delayed feeds on the net.

The Bigpond utility on AFL.com sometimes shows live AFL games. I haven't tried it but I've seen Pop up's advertising it and it could help, you just need a good internet provider is all.

bigpond access cost money and the service is simply unwatchable outside Australia. dont bother.
