Speaking of Varnhagen, the early start to next season is bad news for her. Pretty good chance we'll still be in the Covid era by then, wonder if she's had time to rethink her stance on vaccinations?
Not that it really matters, since I'm not sure she fits into the side anymore (although perhaps after we lose some players...)
Edit: Actually this raises another point. If one of the inactive players on our list moves to an expansion club, do they count as an expansion signing? I assume not, right? Like, if Metcalfe went to Port for example, presumably she could go as a delisted free agent or something like that? On the other hand, for someone like Ang Foley who is only on the inactive list due to injury, it feels sensible that she would count as an expansion signing.
