Still taking his big dollars I bet.
Did he or manger think to ask for a trade instead of signing a contract?

What a terrible work ethic. If that player thinks he has the ability to be better.. Then be better! Do more of the hard yards, put in the effort, lift the standards. What a spineless pathetic excuse that is.I know for a fact a senior player believes his career has suffered due to being at North. Reckons he would have been a better player at a different club.
OK, I've eliminated Luke McDonald. That doesn't make it any easier to guess who the player is though.I know for a fact a senior player believes his career has suffered due to being at North. Reckons he would have been a better player at a different club.
Being a better player is definitely within their control as a senior player. What a terrible work ethic. If that player thinks he has the ability to be better.. Then be better! Do more of the hard yards, put in the effort, lift the standards. What a spineless pathetic excuse that is.

This just reflects poorly on whatever senior player this is. You sign up for a national draft, your hat goes in the ring and you are at the mercy of the national system. Could end up anywhere. Make the most of where you do end up, instead of lamenting to the masses that it might've been different. Shit attitudeI know for a fact a senior player believes his career has suffered due to being at North. Reckons he would have been a better player at a different club.
After 3, 4.5, 2, 3 and 3 wins in the past five years, if you had 8 wins as your pass mark, then you set an unrealistic goal.Allow me to rephrase if you will.
Relative to the sides above us, there is no improvement.
We are in no way competitive with any side in or around the eight. The Brisbane game an absolute anomaly.
Eight wins was my mark of success this year (how shit is that) after two years of complete and utter failure.
We sit at 4.5. Maybe 5.5 to end the year.
Our defence is like a sieve. Our ball movement is generated by individual brilliancy rather that system.
And Griffin Lounge is playing every week.
Club is cooked and I’m so invested I can’t give it up.
It's a big problem with our list. No one wants to lift the standards themselves. Sheezel is probably the exception. The sooner he is ready to captain the better.I know for a fact a senior player believes his career has suffered due to being at North. Reckons he would have been a better player at a different club.
Callaghan was a distant second to ***, you can argue we could have done better due diligence on him but we were always taking him with pick 1.GWS picked up Callaghan and Cadman in the 21 and 22 drafts. Awkward.
We don’t give players spells if they’re playing poorly we just keep playing them hoping they’ll come good.Powell needs a spell. It must be a month since his last decent game and his defensive application (despite high tackle numbers) is generally critically bad.
My mental health has suffered from following north, at least the players get set up for life doing it. Lucky ****ersI know for a fact a senior player believes his career has suffered due to being at North. Reckons he would have been a better player at a different club.
That just reeks of someone who accepts mediocrity and isn’t prepared to do everything necessary to improve, “It’s not my fault I’m shit I’d be better if I played for…”I know for a fact a senior player believes his career has suffered due to being at North. Reckons he would have been a better player at a different club.
Zero depth complicates things as we have no one pressing for spots. We don’t give players spells if they’re playing poorly we just keep playing them hoping they’ll come good.
Mine too - maybe we can consider a class action against the club. I will talk to Messrs Sue, Grabbit and Run and get back to you.My mental health has suffered from following north, at least the players get set up for life doing it. Lucky ****ers
I mean look, it was cruisy as supporting them growing up and even the 2000s and 2010s were mostly fine. But the last 5 years...Mine too - maybe we can consider a class action against the club. I will talk to Messrs Sue, Grabbit and Run and get back to you.
I only caught the last little bit of the Fox commentary, but they said that Powell had been playing on the wing today. Is that true?
Winning 1/3 of the games is unrealistic? In year three of a rebuild? After 3, 4.5, 2, 3 and 3 wins in the past five years, if you had 8 wins as your pass mark, then you set an unrealistic goal.

Well, I guess if you aim low enough, you’re never disappointed.
There's something to it though. What a terrible work ethic. If that player thinks he has the ability to be better.. Then be better! Do more of the hard yards, put in the effort, lift the standards. What a spineless pathetic excuse that is.
Agree with this. The list profile is very imbalanced and we havent had the best availability. Some if our experienced players in Corr, McDonald, Tucker, Larkey, Simpkin are all out due to injury. Doesnt help that the likes of Fisher, Ford and Scott arent really up to standard either. Not to mention guys like Begrman, Archer, CCJ and Goater out for extended stints. What was painfully obvious today was there was one team who has spent most of the last 5 years playing finals together against a team that has a bunch of kids that have barely played 5 games together in comparison. The result was always going to be what it was given they were also playing on their home deck and had been stung the previous week.
The result aside, there were still some small things to like out of today be it individual performances or passages of play that shows what we are capable of when we get things right. I was also pleased to see that they didn't just drop their heads after half time and kept trying. The final margin didn't suprise me in the slightest.
We're our own worst enemy most of the time. Pretty sure 3 of their first 6 or 7 goals were from shocking errors. On the forward 50 arc we forced a loose ball, LDU fumbled and circled it, they come in clean hands, run it the field and goal. Other 3 i cant remember now. But Colby reaching in while Green ran straight at it, Konst dropped mark/s at least 1 was run all the way for them to goal. Duurs and FOS over committing and allowing their oppo goal side, again AFL checkers and goals. Chom trying to spoil with a back handed wrist flick to force it through, goal. Sure try that stuff when we're 5 - 10 goals up, when we're 4 goals down and they have the run surely play the percentages and punch through the damn thing. Crap kicks into F50 for easy intercept marks and many others. These are just the ones that stick in the memory bank. It’s not 22 rounds in.
It’s 3 years of complete inability to defend opposition ball movement.
Maybe, forwards and outside players will always shine more in stronger teams. That said i thank him for sticking fat with us and trying to be part of the solution.I know for a fact a senior player believes his career has suffered due to being at North. Reckons he would have been a better player at a different club.
