Stoinis needs a change of environment to be a better player. Given his new years eve heroics, Adelaide and Stoinis seem like a good mix, especially with those shorter square boundaries.
His game style doesnt seem suited to the MCG.

You take a risk with him. But given how well he has performed at the Adelaide Oval in the past a bit like Chris Lynn, with the Brisbane Heat and Lynn- it actually worked out better for both parties to go their own way.
Another thing with the Stars there was an ego problem in the past when you had : Maxwell, Stoinis, and Zampa craving for the attention.

What a strange innings. This pitch looked slow, but it was consistent & true in its pace. Only 4 down, the Stars are probably 30-40 short.

Stoinis struggled , I reckon they maybe 10-15 runs short.
Period where they struggled was when Maxwell departed. Im still thinking that Philippe drop might come back to cost them.

It’s incredible. How can a “professional” competition have such awful decision making by its athletes game in, game out? Every game is the same - late in the game/middle to late order batters sparking a collapse or scoring minimal runs by trying to hit 6s, when they could go at a SR of 200 fairly risk free by hitting 2s on grounds like the MCG…
