Why are there no Hawthorn nominations?

We always get left out of these discussions

The players from 1925 to 1965 were responsible for 11 spoons in that period (more spoons than supporters), and the players from the mid 90s to the Clarko era were responsible for almost merging with Melbourne. You have to be a good player to get into this thread.

Your knowledge of the history of the HFC impresses me greatly

Taking responsibility for something that happened in the past sounds like more a Hawthorn thing than an Essendon thing

Anyway back on topic, do you have any Essendon nominations from the last 19 seasons?

Jimmy and Phil would have been handy in a GF. North finished top in 1983 but went out in straight sets, then fell in a heap for the vast majority of the 80's.

Michael Turner from Geelong was pretty unlucky. Brilliant wingman and regular state player. The Cats came close in '80 and '81, and then he retired just on the verge of Geelong's return to Grand Finals in 1989/1992/1994/1995.
