We should be wearing them next year at a minimum. No point only wearing them during a fan lockout.
Concur.
Cardone will toss the coin, Eddie will hand him a letter of termination, we all win.

So the whole place is run by self interested parties? I heard Thomas in radio tonight, he just apologises for everything..
You got it.

You got it.

I actually give a s**t we wear the PB’s in the AFL, exiting the SANFL will happen one day. If we were able to wear the PB’s in the AFL people would be less fussed about the SANFL - the jumper symbolises all that is Port Adelaide, simple fact.

We just need a wealthy backer to pay the court bills.

What court bills? The right legal advice will result in zero legal expenses. Volunteers, matey. Volunteers. They come free of charge and full of black & white blood coursing thru them in prison bar waterfalls.

Well I was guessing to fight Eddie, Collingwood and the AFL in court!

I wonder where the AFL really sits, what could be tested in court would be interesting.

But we have a president who would rather pick on retired old ex coaches...

So Cardone is a Port man, surely he knows the significance of the jumper? I gather he’s an AFL plant on the board then, helps keep Eddie informed I guess.

No, mate, don’t worry about fighting Eddie in anything but the Court of Social Media. He will lose.

Cardone is not a Port man. Cardone is a Cardone man.

He was smuggled on to the Club board in 2012 by Koch who, too, is not a Port man. Koch is a Koch man.

We were gypped from the start. Now we have to fight back.

Got it?

So where does that begin, feels like a cleanout looking this year at that level - but everything seems so bloody orchestrated....

Probably starts with the supporters making enough noise then..

Yep. Clean out. Like the violent culmination of an eternity of constipation. Clean out. Heaven.

Doesn’t Fagan specialise in mechanisms of the clean out variety!

Hopefully the cleanout happens this year. One by one... the irony though, to hang around with their egos for the 150th only for their egos to be disappointed...

The PB's and the lace up have inspired many over the years.

Kevin Sheedy was on his regular Tuesday spot on 5AA sports show yesterday. Part way thru they talked about Port's 150th birthday, and he talked about playing Port in 1974 for the first time and then started talking about the lace up jumper Port wore and how he decided to bring it to Richmond.

Between about 3.55 and 4.20 says first time he played Port was 1974 in Broken Hill - loved their jumpers. Used to be a guy in Adelaide called Vic Hill who did the lace ups. Said he was going to get some jumpers from him and get them into Richmond and going to wear lace ups - "anyway I did." (Look at 1980 Richmond's premiership side and I think all 20 players have a lace up jumper, if not only a couple aren't wearing a lace up).

IIRC, 1974 was the first year Sheedy was 100% employed working in footy, gave up the tools, with his footy camps in school holidays and visiting metro and country clubs being paid to take training and then do the sportsman night afterwards. Used go all around Oz even in 1974,

Edit from his Wiki page - Richmond in 1974 appointed him full time paid position. Sheedy made good copy; during the season Richmond had appointed him as full-time promotions officer, effectively making him the first professional footballer in the VFL. In time, all of the clubs would copy this appointment and by the 1980s, most clubs had a half dozen or so players employed as promotions officers.

Sheeds sounded pretty gutted when Rowey gave him the news that we are out of the SANFL, was right after he was talking our club up.

Hairs on the back of your neck stuff - and clearly why we should fighting and wearing that jumper.

I noted the 'Hard' and 'Ruthless' comments, stemmed from management don't you think?, what's surely missing today.

That late 40s jumper is identical to what Collingwood wear today. Does that mean they stole it from us?

Collingwood were unable to register red white and blue of Britania or something, (Footscray) so the story goes they were over here on a visit way back in the day and saw SA's state colours at the time (Black and White)....

So Collingwood deny Port yet stole from SA, how the * are we putting up with their s**t is beyond me.
