It won't be fully ticketed (nothing announced). They'll have GA access but unless your membership has away access, you'll still need to buy a GA ticket.
Yeah, we have away. Might just wing it if not fully tickets. Can always stand on L1.

You're funny mate. Quick look at AFL tracker and Geelongs first game of the year, Bews clocked 35 km/h. Stewart was clocked at 33.1 in the Freo game.

Neither Bergman nor McDonald have shown up in the tracker at all this year. They wouldn't have gotten close to those speeds.
They also had the steeple chaser position himself behind the ball.

GA for non-members sold out.

I called the club. I have been told we can get in with GA member ticket but be early.

We might be on the end of a big loss in this one but the experience for the young guys will be invaluable playing against a top 4 side in the Pies.
They are ruthless, fit and know their system inside-out and punish teams when they switch off or don't bring pressure.
Our defensive transition is still a work in progress. I could see a couple of plays where Swans hit that short kick when some of our young guys weren't switched on in the zone. I'm sure fatigue had a lot to do with it as well but Pies will definitely have the legs.
If we could hang around in the game for a half or 3 quarters that would be a good sign but they've made some ok sides look ordinary.
But anyway just enjoy watching the young guys (we might have 6 or 7 with less than 10 games) and see who stands up under the heat.

We may have spent all our tickets last week.

In saying that, we’re staying in Melbourne and get some players back

Are we trusting the AFL tracker for top speed now? Its not reliable.

Yeah and that's ok, just give the best effort they can, fatigue will come in late, I'm sure our guys will be cramping in the last.
Hopefully they don't get discouraged if the Pies put a lot of goals in a row and can fight back a bit.
There's a gap in class/system obviously, we're still building with young guys who don't have the same shared experience together.
We went through some big losses in the Scott build so its nothing new to me when you play the very good sides and you're at a different stage.
Just trying to temper people's expectations because this is likely a grand finalist we're coming up against and we haven't gone too well against those top 6 sides this year. But still excited to see how they go and who can handle the pressure and heat Pies apply.
They will learn so much from even just watching a Pendles or Daicos and how they work together. Good lesson whatever happens.

The only thing McDonald is quicker at is ruffling a team mates hair…
Yeah what was he possibly saying to each player lining up for goal “no pressure”, “don’t miss”, don’t worry if you miss”, “take the full 30 seconds”, “think of the crowd naked”? Wasn’t a fan of him getting their ear TBH

Totally agree. He needs to leave them alone. The job is not done so get set up and organise others and let the player that won the ball finish the job.

He’s a weapon, at time. However, he doesn’t perform his role.

Yes, he is very frustrating as he has some talent. He has got 30 disposals many times.

Possibly he has never had a coach that has brought out the best.

Why was he doing this btw?

It’s like let them kick the goal Luke.

Was probably whispering "Harley" in their ears. No seriously I think he was probably telling them to take a deep breath and back themselves and follow their routine. He's trying to encourage his young teammates to go back and kick the goal, that's leadership and something I've seen other club leaders do often.

Seems a very odd thing to criticise a captain for doing when very inexperienced teammates are kicking for goal.

Out: Drury, Hall
In: Corr, Zuhaar
Corr's been insipid. Hall's defensive work isn't great but he copped it on here after last week more than he should've. Hit some nice kicks and is one of the few blokes we have who can kick whilst running full pelt and break lines. As long as he doesn't hog the pill, which he didn't last week, there's a spot for him.

If, in a vacuum, McKay, Logue and JZ can't manage Mihocek, Johnson and the resting ruckman, then that's highly concerning. The game might pan out differently because of their frenetic ball movement but I don't see a need for Corr this game
