Cant believe Lynch is out. Must be a fitness issue surely, because everytime hes been on the ground hes performed very well.

Lynch being an out will be very very unlucky. He's done very little wrong for mine.

I think he's been given a full game in the SANFL so he's match fit for next week. McKernan to wear green vest and Jacobs the red I reckon. Cautious that Knights might find his way into the team too, with him reportedly not playing SANFL.

I got an email today from someone a volunteer at Norwood. He reckoned Walker was playing for them.

Probably a decision had to be made between the two, and they chose Walker hoping he kicks a bag to get back into some form?

Apparently Lynch was left out because they felt an extra ruckman was better for team balance against the Giants. I can probably understand this, I just feel for Lynch who has done everything we have asked of him!!

Henderson only makes the emergency list, after being in the team for R1-2 and missing R3 due to injury.
Otten dropped after a prolonged period of poor form - entirely justifiable.
Kerridge & Lynch can both feel hard done by. Lynch was efficient, kicking goals with a high percentage of his disposals - but he really didn't get enough of the pill. Kerridge will just have to wait a bit longer.
Johncock - injured. Would he have been selected if he were fit, given his poor start to the season? I would hope that he has more than enough credits in the bank.

Jaensch - will please the masses, even if I personally regard this as a nil-all draw.
Wright - neither here, nor there.
McKernan - why?
Shaw - this move definitely has my approval.

I can't help but wonder how Petrenko managed to keep his place in the team. Might have been saved by Johncock's injury?

Lynch is very unlucky but with Mckernan in the side it will give us a chance to keep Kurt up forward. Im not sold on mckernan yet so itll be a good opportunity to see if he can step up. That starting back six is the youngest we've had for quite a while too. Congrats to Shaw on getting his debut game and hopefully starting with a win.

Maybe Petrenko's got a job to do and he's doing it? In a game where we lost the disposal AND tackle counts he got six tackles, must put a premium on them huh?

Very happy to see Shaw come in for Otten. McKernan for Lynch is strange but it sounds like Sando wants an extra ruckman. Just for this game to give Jacobs a chop out or is he intending for Tippett to play 100% forward from now on? Guess we'll see.

Feeling pretty pissed that Lynch is dropped Thought Lynch could have made a move down to the backline in replacement for Otten, but then again we are only playing GWS. Hopefully he can rip it up in the sanfl the next two to four weeks and come back into the side by round 10. This gives Shaw enough time to show what he can do

I like this team we look more dangerous with Smack, Walker and Tipp up front. More run in defence with Jaensch and Shaw. Johncock should only come back with good training or SANFL form replacing Reilly or Doughty. Only slight disappointment is Kerridge not getting another shot. Hopefully Martin gets a run through the middle.

Just a theroy on the Lynch out. Think his choice as sub might be due to structure. Idea is he lacks pace along with some of our other fwds to dangerous to play all three of the big blokes without pace from the get go. So we sub him on when everyone is tired and running at his pace anyway. Problem is he needs a full game so instead of dropping walker/tippet to give him a full game we let him go back to the 2s to get some more match fitness.

That or sando doesn't like redheads and Jacobs is just lucky we don't have another genuine no1 ruck.

It was either Lynch or Walker. Walker has the runs on the board and apart from the weekend he's been good. I think structurally we are better with Smack in, but from a personnel stand point Lynch>>Smack.

Without Jeremy Cameron, their forward line is simply tragic. Maybe we'll see the Chad up there?
