The only teams the Crows have beat in the last two months have been the worst team in vfl/afl history, and a team thats gone 4-40 and would be the 2nd-3rd worst team in history.

If we dont beat them then Hinkley should resign on the spot

They always go up several gears for their home Showdown. It's their grand final, the crowd will be absolutely buzzing. It's going to be very difficult for us, a similar finals type atmosphere to the Collingwood game. If we're not up for the fight we lose, simple.

Just leaves Murphy, McAdam and McHenry as spuds to Mctear us a new one.
That ****ing Murphy, is there a more punch able player in the comp.

They've got a lot that just repulse ya, Rachelle, Tex, s**tstain, Flog, McHenry. But that Murphy the little ducking pest, geez he shits me.

On the other hand, other than Sloane who I can't help but begrudgingly respect, that Pedlar is someone I wish we had on our list. Love the way he goes about it. Meanwhile Dawson is just annoyingly good.

Hope we can pinch this one, I'm going in a corp box. If we don't win this week, all the fears that have been echoed all year about an end of season collapse start to become a reality. We are unlikely to beat Geelong in Geelong, especially if we lose this week and to think we could go from 14-2 to 14-6, and as low as 4th, in 4 weeks would be a killer. Yet another Hinkley crash.

We should win, we are clearly the better side, but they've been fluking amazing performances against us for a while so at home this won't be easy. Win the midfield and slow their transition and we should win. However it's hard not to be extremely concerned about how banged up Lycett and Dixon are, and the impact that has on us.

We're not in it to win it. As long as we can be proud of our efforts and entertain the crowd, Hinkley has zero to answer for. He confirmed it in his pathetic press conference Saturday night.

The Crows lost to Collingwood by a point at AO, and they lost by two points to them at the G. They beat Carlton, they beat Brisbane. Dangerous to be dismissive of the Crows I reckon (although no Rankine and Rochelle is pleasing).

Did you go to the game? I thought you were the one who'd given up their membership in protest?

To be fair, lycett usually gets subbed for blasting the field with piss while his opponent gathers world record supercoach points, not because he can't run the game out. He's perfectly capable of stinking up all four quarters
That doesn't matter m8, davesnothere tells me that the mark of being a great ruckman is to be able to get to a lot of contests. Actually impacting the contests is irrelevant. Thanks to Lycett and Teakle's superior fitness they're both able to lose way more contests than Hayes and therefore they have a lock on the ruck role.

There's like 6 more punchable players in their forward line alone.

Hayes went from a top 10 draft pick to nobody going near him based on his aerobic testing at the draft combine as a junior. 2nd worse yo yo test and a 2 k run time of around 8 minutes 30.

He was the best Ruck as a junior but had the worst gps tracking in the under 18s.

My argument is he's the same player.

We choose a underdone 20 year old that shouldn't be near an AFL standard Ruck over Sam last time Lycett was injured.

Selection goes like this.

Lycetts leg has dropped off.

Can he still limp around? Ok not a good look.

Teakle ready to go? Needs another week at least. Ok.

Dante? Do we really want to throw a 20 year old ruck to the wolves in this game? He will improve on his 1st game but maybe against Richmond last game of the year is a better call?

OK no Ruck.

Finlayson? Risk of injury to a valuable forward asset but we can maybe play Lord forward and he will have a presence? Maybe?

Dixon? Would we do that to him? Again Lord forward? Maybe.

Hayes. Pretty much the same player who ran 8.30 in the 2 kilometre run at the draft combine was 2 worst at the yo yo test. Was the best Ruck but the worst GPS tracked player in the under 18 comp and went from a top 10 pick to probably not get drafted if we don't pick him up.

Lost a fair bit of faith in Farrell after what was a very poor game. Should probably come out for Bonner, who’s been good in the SANFL for a few weeks.
They are both similar being lovely kicks who can not defend or stand up in a tackle.
We should never, never play both in the same team.

The best part about this is it's not even true. Hayes gets to a higher percentage of ruck contests per game than either Hayes or Teakle over the last 2 seasons.

When called on that, davo talks about the ability to "compete". Nice to claim victory on intangibles.

His U18 aerobic testing actually has nothing to do with how he's playing at 24.

Again, he gets to a higher percentage of ruck contests than Lycett or Teakle over the past 2 seasons, and is an obviously better tap ruckman. His around the ground work needs to develop, but the idea that he's Jarrad Redden from that one game in 2014 is ridiculous. The idea that either Lycett or Teakle are very good around the ground is ridiculous. They've both put in beyond terrible, worst on the ground type performances on recent form. Indefensible.

We need to pick the best available ruck in a season where it's flag or bust.
