Cornes showed footage of him on channel 7 news tonight just jogging after Dursma, who ended up walking into goal unchallenged.

Players need to be accountable & give their all. If you are just going to jog after your opponent, you can jog off our list.

I just have a strong feeling he is exactly the type of senior player whose weak efforts Nicks is alluding to in his pressers since the match. I know it’s his 100th, but you can bookmark this post, I think he’s getting dropped for someone like McPherson to make their debut.

I don’t think too many do that these days anyway, but I can only see this as being a good thing for the players after a loss like that. We have always played well on the GC, so hopefully that gives them a confidence boost to pull their fingers out and maintain the perfect record.

Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks has warned senior players no position in the side would be safe ahead of Sunday’s clash with Gold Coast.

Following the heavy defeat to Port Adelaide on Saturday, Nicks told Triple M’s The Rush Hour that it was “unacceptable” to play that standard of football.

“If we don’t stand up in the contest, we’ll have to make changes… we have to put players in who will do that,” Nicks said.

“It will be our older players who we’ll have to move to one side if they don’t get it done."

So guessing minimal changes this week, but if you put in that sort of effort again, then you're dropped.

We tend to rebound pretty well after really poor performances. I think it’ll be close and the Suns are in good form, but if both Sloane and Kelly get up I’ll be tipping us.

Head actually, Crows have typically always responded well from really bad losses, especially if there is a big statement at selection and senior players start to get nervous about their spots. Young sides like the Suns are generally inconsistent from week to week too.

I still think Atkins is gone, but I can see the rest keeping their spots. I’m tipping McPherson for Atkins and McAdam for? Not sure on that one but I think he will come in.

Another good thing I took out of that is that he didn’t blame the younger players, put it squarely on the senior guys

I think they will find it a lot easier and play better as a result, a Showdown first game back against an experienced side is always gonna be tough for players with minimal experience.

Sloane is still one of our best midfielders & calls from dropping him are a nonsense.

I would have crafted a hodge like role in defence for Rory this year.
