In 3 rounds he's been the 2nd, 1st and 2nd leading possession getter. None of our mids are doing great but I don't think he's even been close to our worst. Unless there were some really poor efforts behind the play that I'm not aware of. I agree with King Elvis on this one.
Sounds like you need to have a chat to Hugh Greenwood

Cant believe Murphy still in! Had to repeat the earlier comment. Yeah he chases and sometimes holds a tackle. But then what?? McAdam good. Polholke and Frampton need to show something or else.. Same for out of form senior players. Could be mauled to pieces..but with intent..who knows.
Murphy is at least trying to tackle.

That's more than Sloane is doing

Seems to me the same bullshit which has gone on for a while of certain players being immune to being dropped and certain players out of favour at selection. Seems like the same people that influenced Pyke's selections are now influencing Nicks. Can we hire a coach that's his own man? That's right we don't hire them. Sorted.

Here we go again - so what if you get the ball 25 times but do **** all with it!

Guess what 22 possessions last week and not one Inside 50. The previous week 26 possessions and 1 Inside 50. Not bloody good enough.

In addition, he doesn’t or won’t kick the ball more than 30m.

Have you seen Matt get a clearance this season? Have you seen him gut run to provide a link in transition from defense? The other mids are not doing this great either but you can tell are absolutely trying their guts out, Matt is coasting on reputation and thinks his disposal count will keep him safe. This is the rocket he needed!

You’re absolutely right. I’m stunned he and Seedsman are the only ones who’ve copped the bullet.

You can’t drop them all at once, this will be a gradual thing. Did you see what Scorpus posted earlier? The selections this season have been promoting youth and are a million times better than what we were getting under Pyke last year.

this, would be a dick move to delist, though if list numbers drop who knows.... but yeah I don't think they would
He was probably going to be delisted before the injury. Not delisting amounts to charity.

You really are a bit of sad ****er, the glass can be half full occasionally

Dropping M Crouch is ridiculous - our midfield is shallow and sucks, and we’re dropping one of the only quality players we have.

Get some structure and support around him - all of our first choice mids rotation are going to look sh*t at the moment, because we have no run and movement around the field.

It’s a statement to drop him, but a mistake. Should’ve dropped Lynch instead, or Crocker/Keays.

Why Crouch and not Laird, or Lynch or any of the other front runners?

At least Matt gets his hands dirty and puts in.
So you'd drop Keays/Crocker after 2 games, the latter in a forwardline that doesn't see the ball. Lynch is working up and back, his disposal has been woeful though.

Matt HAS NOT got his hands dirty this year so far. We had to drop a midfielder, and he is the least flexible one of the "names" so he goes.

It's pretty much par for the course for you though.

I speculated that the isolation period may have impacted the less self disciplined players the most. Some players need people around pushing them.

I think this is affecting all teams. Some fairly big names on the omissions lists this week.

I feel youth has been played due to the fact they moved out a lot of experience and they had no alternative but to play youth. Playing youth is the only way we will get better other than the trade and draft. The decision to move those players on last year was correct and in some instances (such as Jenkins) overdue but our club has a very poor record of not backing in youth. It should have started 3 years ago with the transition of youth dripfed into the team by trading out some older talent instead of in one big hit as we now have.

There goes our best mid. B Crouch has been worse and Sloane non-existent. Still think our coaching is the main reason for our deplorable midfield beltings.

Seed has been pretty poor.

Poholke is an SANFL player.

Not even sure if Frampton is an SANFL player.

What the hell they see in Keays I do not know.

Good to see McAdam in. At least he's got some skills.

You realise we're not only last in clearances, in terms of us v opposition stats we are that bad we're 10 clearances a game behind 17th place (on average, we've lost clearances by 14 each game).

Matt Crouch has been a big reason why we are so shit in the clearances. Both in that he's not winning and he's not putting in defensively. The defensively part is really the key. He's averaging 2 tackles a game. As a inside midfielder. He should be at 5-6 due to how close he is to the opposition.

He's deserved the axe, like 10 others. Definitely the best changes Nick's has had this year.
