Tabs is actually fast. He ran all day.
Amiss did great because he played on Hurn who’s woeful at jumping at the ball.
Barass is still an elite defender. Tabs did his role well. Jackson came in and caused chaos. Actually how talls should’ve played today. More of that, and Tabs will be kicking goals.
Doesn’t look fast and looks like he’s lost a step and his agility (which was always poor anyway) has declined. I think you guys defending him are being very generous on what he’s contributing at the moment given he’s supposed to be our number 1 tall. He played a role sure, but if Treacy or Fyfe played that same role today when the forwardline actually got half decent supply, I’m pretty sure they could provide that and more.

Having said all that, today was an improvement on the other weeks and him playing like he did a few years ago is the best way for us to be successful so given Treacy hasn’t played and Fyfe is underdone you just stick him probably and see if he can start to really get back some form

Hughes does not get dropped. Was actually good for us today and was important after Chappy got injured. Anyone wanting him dropped are biased bc of his name.
12 disposals at 100% DE. 7 score involvements. 6 intercepts (second highest for the side) and zero turnovers.
He played a role well I thought.

If Fyfe is fit, it’s at Tabs expense for mine. I think the smaller faster forward line look suits our game and Fyfe is better as the key target/ deep forward for me.

Tabs was OK but let’s be honest, his body looks cooked. He can barely stretch his arms out full and after any contest, he looks gassed.

Fyfe can easily play Tabs role and offer so much more in terms of impact at contests, impact at ground level and defensive pressure. I just think we will look so dangerous with Fyfe deep, Amiss leading at the ball carrier and Jackson providing aerial contests, with the speed and run of Freddy, Switta, Shultz and Walters.

Would also start Johnson, drop Henry. Hughes is flexible and tough and like him in the side. Walker to be the sub.

Henry is "meh". Needs to be an out maybe?

Strongly disagree. He's building and i think the continuity is and will do him well.

His decision making yesterday was poor and i think he struggled a little with the heat of the contest but his first three weeks have been a massive step in the right direction imo.

Interesting that ppl saying Sturt or Treacy cant come in as they havent played last week or so but yet calling for Fyfe who also hasnt played last 2 weeks & probably hasnt done a lot of running due to his plantar fasciitis. We still running with 2 sets of rules??
Poor management of Treacy TBH

You're just seeing what you want to see.
Sorry, that’s a cop out, I have my escaped goats in Banfield and Hughes but I’ll be he first to admit I thought Banfield was actually decent last week and Hughes decent to good this week.

I don’t want Tabs to be done, I want him kicking 40+ goals and at his best but he’s a long way from looking like that player at the moment.

Hughes has been consistent over the 3 games IMO

I think he didn’t slow it down once yesterday and particularly had that great inside 50 kick in the first quarter. Probably helps in my memory of his game that played in his best position for the second half

Slept on this all , and yep you and others who believe he played a decent game are delusional. His game was garbage , like his season has been as has his last year. GARBAGE be off with him already - 32 champion data points kin of poo poos your 6 score involvement delusions as well as a 2/10 in the west paints the picture I saw aswell

I have to agree with this. Yes, Henry made many errors but we are seeing a very different player to previous seasons. He is showing signs of delivering on some of the hype of yesteryear so despite the obvious fact that he has a long way to go, I think he is worth persisting with for now.

He turned it over like 10 times ffs.

We lost momentum after a few of them.
