Yeah but they couldn't get their roles right last week according to J-lo. If we can't get the initial plans right whats the point in reassigning them? Surely the contested will be worse?

Jackson as an onballer is great but inevitably, it's not the fix.

This doesn't make sense to me. Guys having an off night last week and losing their roles doesn't mean they will lose them this week. What they miss most of all is big body providing protection to Serong in midfield.

Cooper made massive gains in his new role on the weekend so this is well deserved and makes the backline make sense.

I don't think it's about his game at this point, it's about who he has pissed off. Maybe he didn't share the talking stick at J-lo's drum circle. Who knows.

Last WAFL game, Ras copped a hard tag and Brodie did little of note. Not dominating in that scenario puts you out of selection contention, simple as that.

Brodie hasn't been listed in the best in a WAFL game since Round 19 last year vs South Freo. Literally in his worst lower league form in his career.

Playing Brodie makes about as much sense as playing Ollie Murphy.

I am a Freddy fan, big time. But he goes missing for too long a period during games.Yes he kicks goals and has had all season to do that.Voss has not had those chances.Butthey are notvying for the same spots.
Switta is spoken of being a hard running hard tackling goal kicker, but to me seldom kicks goals.
Not talking aboutsacifising players, just pointing out players that are giving nothing at the moment.
I know that all the team, well the vast majority , were very very poor, and at some stage these players notperforming MUST be given the ultimatum, perform at the top level od wear the Teal Peel guernsey for a few week.
Don't tell me you don't think players should be dropped.
yep, players need to lift, but some have known that for a few weeks, after a debacle like last week, the pressure must go on them all.
Basically they have blamed Draper as the only one thatneeded to be dropped. Very unfair on him.There were many as bad or worse than him.

**** me, we are an edgy bunch aren't we...by round 8 we had two debutants (Bruce & Duds), two club debutants (Narkle, Bolton), trialled a ruck option (Reidy) and changed it up ASAP, at least two players returning from long term injuries (Darcy & OMac). the fears JLO would conservatively drop duds a few weeks back were wrong (including my own), the calls JLO would conservatively persist with Reidy were wrong, the calls JLO would never drop anyone were wrong.

We have omitted under performers (Banners, Draper, Karl, Ras, Aish). We have have varied the sub (Chappy, Duds, Voss, Narkle). And now, we have just selected 3 players who are 21 and under when we have already been fielding the youngest/least experience (or thereabouts) every week!

I mean at some point we may actually have to acknowledge that fielding a team that is simultaneously the youngest/oldest/strongest/fastest/most skillful/best looking/least dockery/most exciting/highest IQ/injury free is not really an attainable goal

Balances it out finally. Draper is good but learning and shouldn’t be a lock just because JL struggles to have hard conversations.
