I know it'll end up being 2-3 changes at most, but I'd go something like

In: Lyons, Crouch, Johncock, Kerridge
Out: Calllinan, Henderson, Jaensch, Mackay

I could probably name a few more guys like Wright, VB, Otten and Vince that i'd have on thin ice too.

Could give Jacobs another week off as I think McKernan and Jenkins should be able to handle Niccols and Gorringe, but hopefully he can kick some butt against the youngsters. Porps was decent, so I'd hesitate to drop him after one of his better games for the year, but you'd want to see him put in another decent effort. Johncock can stay up forward, or be the sub, but hopefully he'll give them something up forward so Danger doesn't need to spend 1/3 of the game standing in the forward fifty and can hopefully provide more than Callinan.

Out: Mackay, Jaensch, Wright, Callinan, Jacobs
In: Kerridge, Grigg, Riley, Lyons, Johncock (torn about this one as its all about the future now but I'd give Crouch some time to rebuild form in the SANFL and Stiffy can start as sub, and who knows may grasp his chance and restart career).

Can only carry so many softies but Hendo is one of a few that could possibly threaten the scoreboard and run the lines so he escapes the axe for the next two games.

We need some more polish to attack from defence...Vince to quarterback. Shaw to help out once fit.

Smith up to the wing.

Jacobs out. Sure McKernan won't win as many taps but he will be way better around the ground.

Porps back as a 'key' forward. Sure it's not ideal but that's his best role and will take heat off Jenkins. Lets structure up to direct a lot of ball to him.

Hendo and Lynch to run hard and link mid-forward.

Kerridge and Riley to get physical and batter and bruise some running defenders.

VB tagger and told its his last chance...time to actually get dirty again skipper...what's happened to you?

Grigg mid/half back, Lyons back into the rotations, Vince/Laird/Brown/Otten encouraged to start creating from defence and Lynch/Jenkins/McKernan/Henderson told to get on their bikes and lead to provide a moving target.

Bit early given the bye, but:

Outs: Porplyzia (confidence), Mackay (confidence), Jacobs (lack of energy), Vince (lazy)

Ins: Johncock, Martin, Crouch, Lyons.
Porps had the 5th highest disposal count yesterday and laid 7 tackles.
Vince has actually been working his arse off of late. He's contained the oppositions best midfield for two weeks in a row, you don't do that being lazy

Porps may have got more of the ball - finally - but what is he doing with it? 20 possession Porps used to be a matchwinner, now he is a non-event. How many goals did he kick/has he kicked all year...

Vince has shown a little more discipline the last 2 weeks with run-with roles, but that kick across HB was lazy, then the fee-reversal was just plain stupid & he should be held to account.

How is making a poor decisions lazy? Yes he kicked across goals but that doesn't mean he is lazy. Lazy is not working hard enough, the fact he was deep in defense shows he was working.

He may have been deep in defence following his opponent, but he wasn't running hard the other way to be offensive. Vince doesn't run hard enough both way - he should look no further than Douglas & Sloane to see what it takes. Vince is skating through with I'll just do enough, rather than looking to take himself to the next level.

Yes, he was no where near our worst yesterday, but are we going to accept his attitude?

Bernie had 6 inside 50s, the second highest of our players. He's also playing a defensive role, is he supposed to leave his man that he's supposed to be checking? Then he would be called lazy for not doing his job.

Bit too harsh on Bernie I think. He did a pretty good job on Cotchin yesterday and did some good stuff as well. The reversed free was an incorrect decision by the umpire. Cant crucify him for that.

Its a long list of players that you could drop on yesterdays performance. Im surprised people are naming Callinan. He was one of a very few who tried his guts out yesterday.

My hit list would be;

Wright
Henderson
Van Berlo
Otten
Mackay
Jaensch

Ins;
Crouch
Lyons
Grigg
Stiffy (stuff it what have we got to lose)
Thompson
Riley, Tambling whoever

Edit: Forgot to include Kerridge as an in. Tambling gone.

Otten kept Aaron Edwards to 5 disposals.. And had 13 himself at 84% efficiency.. 5 tackles and 10 1%ers.. He had a few recent sluggish games but he's been pretty good this year, only a few weeks ago most were singing his praises..

I agree with the rest..

With Otten is more about having 3 slow big defenders

You have to cover Vickery, Riewoldt and Edwards yesterday.. Not sure who we play on these 3 if we only go in with Talia and Rutten.. I think it gets overdone at times about these 3 slow as an ox defenders we have..

I'd try Thompson who is quicker. Plus Edwards is shit.

We were lucky they picked Edwards for us.
