Jaensch is not composed under pressure & i worry seeing how he will perform in finals
I haven't noticed that about him but I will look out for it this weekend. It is just another reason to get him as far away from the opposition goals as possible! I think he could play the role Chris Knights used to play for us reasonable well because he can kick a long goal. He probably doesn't have the aerial ability Knights has though.

There were two pairs of players running towards the ball, as it landed just outside the 50m arc. Smith was with White, not sure who Reilly was running with. Radar then chased white, while Smith peeled off to the inside. I didn't see what happened to Smith, as the cameras chose to focus on the Reilly/White pursuit.
Smith also chased on the angle and got hands to white by diving for him just before he slotted the goal.

I have stated many a time truck only plays if opposition have a big forward like Patton this week. I have mentioned we should rest him where no suitable matchup like against port where Otten was more suited to westoff.

Rutten's knee appears to be getting better & his opponent has rarely dominated him even if he is slowing. Still best 22 against most opposition.
I had a look at the stats since Rutten came back in because I don't remember Rutten being as bad as everyone else seems to. I know stats aren't everything but in the 6 games he has played he has only had 3 goals kicked on him and his opponent has been subbed out in 3 of those games. He got well beaten in the GCS game by Dixon but apart from that I would say his beaten his opponent every other game.

I know stats aren't everything and he hasn't looked quite as good as he used to but I think he has been good and agree he is still best 22 against most side.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story ;)

Agree with everything you posted.

Dixon was too mobile for Truck & an example of when we should rest him. Otherwise he has been his usual reliable self.

U r delusional if u think pods or Jaensch will get dropped without playing crap for several weeks in a row. Don't know how u can possibly make that statement
I agree Pods and maybe Jaensch probably wont get dropped. It would be more likely to be Lyons and Martin. They are the changes I would make though.

I'm not sure Jaensch is as safe as most seem to think he is. He has been terrible defensively and that was enough to see Reilly dropped. On Pods, he has been OK but I would prefer someone else to rotate through the mids.

Patton I reckon, Truck got Boyd and Talia got Cameron
Rutten didn't play.

Fanfooty has Shaw listed as playing on Patton and Hartigan on Boyd. Not 100% accurate which is why I asked you guys just to be sure that Hartigan isn't getting credit for stopping a player he wasn't on.

Correct, that is my recollection for most of the game - Hartigan played on Boyd.

Thats exactly right, some poor bastards just seem to get unlucky injuries, often.
Crouch has had similar injuries to lynch, does that mean crouch will always get injured as well?

Both just been unlucky this year, before that they weren't injury prone

I think it is really important for us to play Truck on the third best tall for the 16th ranked team in the AFL.

We can sort out who can replace Truck and play this role (Hartigan? LT?) during next year's pre-season.

I would also like to see us bring in Dogga and Stiffy to take advantage of the inexperience of GWS.

Love it. Couldn't have said it better myself

If you are a forward, and you see your lining up on Truck Rutten this year, your licking your lips

Likely ins to include mackay, Laird & rutten.

Kerridge not ready. Hendo needs another sanfl game.

Likely outs porplyzia, Reilly, l Thompson.

Would like to see us rest any Players struggling with injury as now have some depth.

Name me the forwards who have smashed rutten this year.

Quite clearly you don't watch crows games closely.

Ball in hand he is good but he gets burnt way to often for me. He had 3 goals kicked on him in the last quarter of the Essendon game that just came from bombs inside 50 to no ones real advantage. It was just his opponetent beating him in a 50/50 contest and kicking the goal. He was one our better player in the showdown though. I wouldn't mind seeing him played off half forward and either martin or Lyons come out when everyone is available.

Dont mean to be 'that guy' but Essendon only kicked 4 goals in the final quarter.
One of them was Hurley (A KPP) and the other 3 were three different players.
At the ground I was certain that Jaencsh was not responsible for all 3 goals.

Yeah, all those huge bags of goals kicked on Truck this year, just like other years when posters said he was finished.

Now you are just being silly!

Will we win the flag this year, yes or no? (My answer - not a snowballs chance in hell)

Will we finish in the top four, yes or no? (My answer - Tell em their dreamin)

Will we make the top eight, yes or no? (My answer - I'm happy to bet a bottle of grange that we won't)

How many games has Truck played this year that have been influential to the outcome? (My answer - none)

So please explain to me what the value will be to bring back Truck this week.

P.S. Hartigan was named in our best players when we played GWS earlier this year.
