Poholke before murphy is interesting. Doubt we will see murphy again this year which is a shame
Murphy spent the entire pre-season training as a small forward. So in Pyke terms, that probably means he's locked in that position all year unfortunately. So unless Betts or Gallucci are out, he's in the SANFL.

What if the club is happy for us to debate mixed messages over Sloane's foot injury, and whether it's the same injury mismanaged, a reinjuring, or a new foot injury entirely, because it distracts us from realising what he actually did at training today was strain a hamstring?

Has Murphy actually played a game since his hammy?... serious question as I don’t get much if any info about the sanfl in QLD...

Not really. Everyone bitched last year we didn't expose enough guys when given a chance, but now that's a negative?

I am not saying we shouldnt be doing it. But it doesnt make sense that we have done it here. As I have been saying, I don't believe Knight is a guaranteed best 22. We should be investing games in him as well because he is at the stage where he could really take off as a player. He is only 23 and only 30 games played, why arent we still investing in him. Shown a lot of promise, but still only getting the ball 13-14 times a game, predominantly in the midfield. There is much more benefit to putting this game into Riley, rather than Miles.

The written medium doesn't lend itself very well to deadpan humour unless you know the writer is very well known for it.

Plus, I could definitely see some people just live streaming stats if they were outside of Australia.

Fair enough, not having a shot, just making a joke.

For future reference - I do deadpan. If I post something that appears to be odd or even downright dumb, you may assume it was deadpan humour.

;)

Another problem I have with Poholke is I think it extends from that 2016 draft, all the talk out of it was/has been how they had to teach Signorello how to kick, did that make them think Poholke’s kick was fine? It’s dodgy and fell apart against the suns, the big wind up and ball drop makes it look like a country footballer is running around

It's actually very interesting the decisions they have made considering the thing that we have been brilliant at this year is our speed of ball movement I'm not sure there gonna have the speed to go with us.

This could be hinkleys last game with all of our outs and them with pretty much a full side

They can't afford to sack him.

Have asked the club, I am still waiting on some more information, what i have been told is Its a new Injury. And they will assess in two weeks which is the same info they are giving to the Media.
But one thing this one cannot be blamed on Haas, as Sloane was on a Physio's return to fitness Plan in conjunction the Doctor advice. I asked.

And it dropped so much that he's not even an emergency? Sure, you believe that.
Who cares if he's an emergency or not? If they have no plan to play him then there's no plan to play him.

I like Riley, but I honestly don't think he's going to get much better than he is. Size is always going to hold him back, he'll have his role in a team because his skills are generally good and he can run all day, but unless there's a specific role you have him filling like last year where we started to use him as a defensive midfielder, then he's not going to be in every week.

His kicking looked fine in the Sydney game. Even his left didn't look too shabby.

Ready for a nice fun fact: Port simply cannot afford to pay out Hinkley currently. The joys of being contracted to 2021.

How’d he go?... did he warrant a recall?..
Mostly played midfield, got 20 odd touches off the top of my head. Again, he might be playing midfield in the SANFL, but i'm imagining Pyke has him pegged with a different role at AFL level.

If there's anyone bashing down the door in the SANFL side for a AFL game it's Patrick Wilson, but who knows if we'll actually play him or not.

I think the club thinks we don't notice these things and don't join the dots or put two and two together

More the club knows most won't know and don't care enough to put two and two together. It's worth noting that we aren't the majority of supporters, we are the super special minority.

That’s good news about pat Wilson.. really like the look of him and his massive boot..

Good news about Murphy too.. if you’re right, and it’s just that he has trained in the forwards and thus Pyke will use him there only, then if he’s improving his midfield game too he’ll obviously become an even more valuable player in future..

It is pretty simple everyone, just don't care about the injury reports. Focus on who is actually playing and then when the season is done and dusted have a huge whinge if injuries cost us the ultimate prize. It is actually getting tiring reading the bleating week and week out lately about the hamstrings and the injuries, the same shit every week. An organisation isn't exactly truthful and forthcoming about things that aren't good for it and that they probably have had some control over, what a ****ing shocker!

Not really sure what Poholke brings to the team, if it’s a case of last man standing would of preferred Murphy or Wilson. Myles is an ok mark & put’s his head over the ball but that’s it, he’s poorly skilled and moves a bit like a crab, his game against the Suns was putrid.

If it's a midfielder position Poholke is the best choice of the 3 as he has the highest chance of being a long term midfielder. Murphy is a small forward or bust and Wilson is much less likely to make it then Poholke.

I also disagree, Myles is excellent overhead (some of the marks (and a non mark) he took against Sydney were excellent), and he wouldn't be the first, nor the last to have a putrid game early on in his career whilst adjusting to the change in game speed/trying to hard to impress.

Give him time, and you'll be pleasantly surprised with this kid.
