Really ?? They will have tippet and Franklin in the same Forward line for the first time. I don't like that prospect.
I believe we can beat them but we will be the tester bunnies for their new forward line. And typically they have just started to find form

I wonder if this is a flair up from his PCL injury he had looked at in the offseason.
A real shame if true, i hope he can be managed through whatever he has. Would prefer 4-6 weeks out now and be ready for the 2nd half than try and play through it and cause more damage.
Essendon have a much better midfield than Sydney IMO, and that's where we are struggling at the moment. We'll also have Fyfe back for the Sydney match.

CAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRNNNNN SPURRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
CHOP'EMUP!!!!!

I've missed somebody.
Greatly weakened side but still better than most we have fielded in our short existance.

He was pretty poor in round 1 for Peel and then they had the bye for week 2 so he couldn't earn his spot until last weekend.C. Pearce had an absolutely phenomenal weekend and I don't know why he hasn't been picked sooner this year.
definitely better. But are those stats for a single game or something?
But a half fit Walters is better than the alternatives.
You know what I think they may have no choice but to play Simpson. Running out of options
The benefit like last year, is we will have lots of players coming back in the second half of the season. But with this hard run of games we have to be careful not to drop too far behind
Two things of interest this week, whether Mayne is named or not and if the selection committee and Ross thinks Clarke has done enough and is fit enough to come in for Hannath.
They may leave Mayne in the side and give him until the last minute to prove his fitness but I hope the more prudent course of action is followed.
At this stage I reckon
OUT: Ibbotson (inj) Walters (inj) Mayne (inj)
IN: Dawson Sylvia Pearce
If there are three forced changes I just have a feeling Clarke will get one more WAFL game before Hannath makes way for him. If Mayne is named then just two changes with Sylvia to be a possible late in on game day.
