Because they are AFL quality players who do their jobs most weeks. The fact that you want to drop 2 of our dozen experienced players in a winnable game is idiotic. Even for Big Footy.

Not drop rest . Can cleanly see their performance drop in recent week. Keep saying they are afl quality wont help when you try to restumb. Clearly you are not as idiotic to think young players dont need 50 games to be a quality consistent afl quality player. Eg if port dont give d.pearce exposure as rookie to play afl i think he will still playing reserve.

OK, so you want to rest (not drop) 2 AFL quality players who do their jobs most weeks, who are 2 of our dozen experienced players in a winnable game is idiotic. Even for Big Footy. We gain nothing by sitting either Mayne or Pearce, we probably don't even have fit replacements. In the current team (with the current injuries) both Mayne and Pearce are in the first 10 picked. They gain nothing from a rest and the team loses some of the few experienced players they have. I can kind of understand the resentment to both, but it is myopic to think the team is better without them, especially with the injury list as it is.

I want to beat GCS and playing Mayne and Pearce gives us the best chance at that.

All i am saying is afl is a long season, you wont want season ending injuries toward the end of the season . especially mayne.

In: Apeness, Yarran, DeLuca

I think DeBoers papers are stamped while Deluca is just starting to show something. You could make a case for it being too early for either Deluca or Yarran, throwing them to the wolves. And potentially too early a return for Apeness from
Injury though I'm under the impression he'll play footy this weekend somewhere.

If the coaches agree, we'll see DeBoer, Clarke and one of Deluca or Yarran.

Sounds like Langdon might come back in as well and Apeness will play for Peel so it seems we are going in quite short up forward. Wonder who gets the last spot?

I'd imagine it'll be between MDB and Deluca. Unless they decide to go with a tall, in which case it's Clarke or Hannath. The safe bet would be:
OUT: Barlow, Pavlich, Ballantyne
IN: Yarran, Langdon, de Boer
EMG: Deluca, Tucker, Hannath

Hughes, Apeness, Clancee and Silvagni to continue building fitness in the WAFL. Morabito and Clarke stuck in the wilderness.

Mora, Deluca and Yarran should play the rest of the season. Winning is irrelevant ,finding out if they are going to be worth a spot next season is the important factor.

We may not be able to justify 6 games (to others performing better) but sure lets have a look for 3 games and if performing they stay in.

I hope Yarran tries to take screamers and banana kick goals from 50. If he gives a risk of 3mins of brilliance for 3 goals I'll be happy. If I see him chasing blokes and blocking I'll be sh1tty. 3 touches for 3 goals I'm happy. Don't care how many tackles he lays.

Yarran moves like greased lightning... if he's out there chasing blokes, he's gonna bloody catch them!

You obviously haven't seen RTB's press conference.
He specifically mentioned tackles

Collins trained with the Peel boys today in their session after the match simulation session and Johno trained with the main list as did Nyhuis. RTB did say according to one of the radio stations (I think it was PR) that they were considering a second ruckman.

Please no clarke , seriously i rather see salim kick drop punt than clarke jogging or walking around the field. If clark can put the effort salim try to defend him he will be at least 25 % better .
