What match ups you reckon?

Cameron - Young?
Himmelberg - cordy?
Finlayson - Wood?

Cameron is very similar to Franklin, insofar as he rarely does his damage taking contested marks inside 50. I think Wood is the man for him. The other two are lacking in the confidence/experience I’d want in the man standing Cameron. That being said, I’d not be surprised in the slightest if Bev sends Young to him. Our coach has a mighty set of cojones.

In Theory I'd have Trengove come in

Young - Himmelberg
Trengove - Finlayson
Cordy - Cameron

Trengove simply not mobile enough for Cameron. If we only go with two talls then I'd try Crozier unless Greene is getting on top of Duryea. Our best defender on their best attacker.

Don’t think Trengove has a natural match up so would leave him out. Dickson in for west to kick his classic 3 clutch finals goals.

My feeling is the whole GWS 22 will be all over Bont before the first bounce. Id love for us to go out there hunting a player of our own. Whitfield was too damaging last week and should receive a far stronger tag from Hayes this time round. We should deck him to start and go from there.

I think this game will be on before the 1st bounce, I can’t wait for smith to show a few of the GWS players up, he’s young but takes no shit! Missing Libba with his mouth tho. I hope they have a crack at us like last time because we turned it on after it! We should go in unchanged unless Dicko’s right to go. Wining the 1st final is a pass in my book and winning anything else is a bonus.

No ****inggggg way am I dropping West before Hayes. The kids born for this stage, he will thrive I reckon. Hayes has been ok but in a dominant team and I really would feel a lot more comfortable without him in finals. Once the pressures on (which it just has not been the last month) he'll go to shit again IMO and we cant have that in finals.

Tough call what to do with Trenners. Id feel more comfortable having him in the team as back up ruck to Timmy, but im wary of going too tall, especially if the conditions arent ideal. And there's not a great match up for him down back. But also as good as Youngs been hes still a kid and it could quite easily turn into a nightmare if someone gets on top of him badly and his confidence drops, so Trenners would be good back up in that situation too.

Id bring in Trengrove and swing Cordy forward to hassle Davis. Thats his one role for the day, if that frees up Naughty at all its a massive win for us. Plus no reason he cant get free and kick a couple himself or throw a flying knee at Whitfields head etc. Brings such a good defensive nature down there which is so so good for Naughty and Schach.

Dicko in is an absolute no brainer.

So Dickson for Hayes, Trengrove for ???? No idea.

This is a bad omen for the opposition and will be played out in the finals conflict.

Is this offensive game style the real deal?
The Bulldogs scored 666 points in the final six rounds of the season – about 20 points per game more than the next best side. Is this just a hot streak, or has Luke Beveridge managed to find a game style that will hold up long term

The Plastics have so many punchable heads. It’s a fair effort really.

Greene, Cameron, Shaw, Mumford...whoever that dude is down back with the tatts and the shoulder strapping as well.

I’ve got no idea who the rest of them are.
Haynes is ok, yet he's the only one to get his head punched so far

Heath Shaw would have to be one of the dumbest blokes going around on a footy field. We must get under his skin and suck him in. Too bad Libba won't be picked. Shaw probably takes Lloyd or dixon, both of whom aren't very antagonistic. Maybe McLean will get a head duck free early against Shaw and set the stage for a blow up and a few cheap goals from fifty metre penalties!

Good to see Haynes back, seems like a good guy and was unfortunate. No malice from the Bont, shouldn't have even been fined but that's water under the bridge. Can't wait to get up there and cheers us on. Hopefully we out number the plastics crowd

Miracle man! Defies the laws of medicine to return so early, was touch & go he'd even pull through but amazing to see he could be playing again so soon
Bont to go forward at the first bounce ;)

Spoke to someone connected to GWS today. Said they are extremely confident as they think they will have 7 new players compared to last time with four guys coming in and three players underdone in round 22.

Then more about how their forwards will dominate.

Simply replied it’s got to get down there enough first.

Good I hope GWS think they have it in the bag as they will choke!! They have so many players in there team that are big headed. If we play like we have been we’ll be right, you watch half of them start cracking the shits aka Shaw if we get 5-6 goals up.

We’ve got to get a good start, it’s vital we are not playing catch-up
